What color did you catch that fish with on the RC 1.5? If you don't mind me asking.

I personally would stick with st. CROIX for rods and Shimano for reels.

I would either go with a 3/8 to 1/2 football or flipping style jig with a paca craw dip the ends of the claws in chartreuse scent of some sort jj's works great. Just flip everything that looks good and drag it around a little and more importantly just have fun! You will catch them! Also I do trim my skirts to about the very bottom of the hook.

You need all different sizes for all different depths. I mostly use 3/8 and 1/2 the most.

I would start buying a more quality Fluro and you will probably see 75% of your issues go away. I was in the same boat as you were until a friend turned me onto to Sunline. Great all around like and if your going to stick with seagur atleast get invisx.

Are you dead set on hummingbird? I believe Lowrance makes a model with similar features for less money. I would say get the best and biggest you can afford.

Fish? Or bass lol if your just talking bass probably only 12-13 but fish in general around 100-125
