  1. I would skip the Fluro and forget about leaders unless your fishing ultra clear. I would say anywhere from 50-60lb Sunline fx2 would do the trick.
  2. iRod genesis 2 stone cold square bill rod. $150
  3. Jerkbait jerkbait jerkbait also a wacky rigged senko is great this time a year.
  4. It looks like there foxy shad color.
  5. 7ft is the perfect length for a Spinnerbait rod. I would certainly go with the duckett over the veritas. St. CROIX makes a great rod as well in the mojo and rage lineups.
  6. I use 12lb Sunline sx1 braid with a tip of 6lb-8lb FC.
  7. Braid: Sunline fx2 Fluro: Sunline sniper FC Mono: McCoy mean green or super natural
  8. I must ask why you use sniper and super natural but are missing out on the best braid on the market in favor of spider wire? Hmmm
  9. D&M makes a fine product
  10. Welcome
  11. If your not worried about invisibility why not just use a steel leader for the toothy critters.
  12. I wouldn't even recommend boating in conditions like that. Be safe and as the other OP said fish the local lakes until the dust at the river settles .. I know it's hard to fight that urge.
  13. Love would be the effortless pitching for sure and you can certainly notice the "air rotation" this reel is buttery smooth out of the box and the line just flows effortless in casting. I mainly am going to be using this reel this year for big jigs and froggin. I shouldn't have used the word "hate" however the size is somewhat cumbersome especially for someone who owns high end shimano metanium's, excense dc reels, steez, etc I mean don't get me wrong it's a great reel and it has some great features it's just a tad on the big side and I have pretty large hands and it's a little cumbersome at times.
  14. I enjoy throwing my Tatula aswell although I do have a somewhat love hate relationship with it.
  15. If want the best hook for swimbaits it's the owner beast hands down. That's the hook I throw when money is on the line and I have 100% confidence in that hook.
  16. What kind of water clarity do you have? I would start deep with a jig or drop shot progress to a jerkbait on warming trends. Goodluck
  17. Water temps certainly don't need to be In the 70s to catch a good bag that's post spawn pretty much. I would burn crankbaits shallow craw patterns, small swimbaits, swim jig also what kind of vegetation do you have?
  18. Piranha vibrating jig Dirty jigs California swim jig with keitech Megabass vision 110 western clown Jackall cross tail shad drop shot
  19. I tie a palomar with fluorocarbon 100% of the time. If you guys are having knot failures with that knot your not tying it correctly. Remember you can't cross the lines when cinching that's the main problem I see people mess up when tying it.
  20. I will second the curado g series it's a great reel to start with and keep tame! Shimanos are very simple to get setup and are not temperamental.
  21. This is accurate! I just went through the same thing weeks ago and finally got my money back. Ask the seller to send you a copy of the original sales receipt and your good to go.

Megabass baits are all of top knotch quality I have 11 Ito vision 110s and all of them perform flawlessly. I have no problem spending $20-$30 per bait for a quality product.
