  1. LOL mine took a hit too haha I got a metanium for $314!!
  2. My EXO sounds like a coffee grinder so it's just an ornament on my desk at work now stick with shimano if you want REAL durability.
  3. I would go braid man especially for those techniques .... Don't wanna see anyone get heart broke. Sunline fx2 would do the trick!
  4. IRod 693C "Marty Stone cold square bill" hands down best crankbait rod I've ever used for throwing square bills, traps, jerk baits, and handles medium divers with ease.
  5. Yeah you bought the wrong rod for use with jigs. That is a great deep diver rod though.
  6. Bronzeye & Spittin Wa
  7. Nice I am hopefully hitting the water tomorrow morning to do the same!
  8. LFT magic shad, Keitech Impact Fat, Grandebass Mega Claws
  9. Owner & Gamakastu are all I use.
  10. These kind of topics pop up over and over again! Who cares if you fish a $1 wal mart spinnerbait or $16 jackall spinnerbaits? I personally have a passion for "high" priced lures like Deps, Megabass, Jackall, etc however I have the financial backing to support it so I buy what I want. I am starting to think that those who can't afford them feel some sort of way about it? Who really cares though wether you fish a $1 lure or a $100 lure because it really doesn't matter!
  11. Ive been lucky enough to hit some of our local power plant lakes this winter. However spring will be right around the corner for most of us! Thank god!
  12. Shhh you guys are talking about my secrets! Slow rolling a 1/2 oz. chatter bait in cold water is a deadly technique and if your looking for some good brands d&m makes the finest chatter bait on the market! My second choice would be a z man original.
  13. My vote would also go towards the JIG because it's so versatile. Try swimming a jig
  14. Lucky Craft pointer minnow 78SP model would be perfect just experiment with color.
  15. My top 3 go to smallmouth lures would have to be 1) tube 2) jerk bait 3) drop shot .... If they aren't biting those three I head for the ramp!
  16. I'm glad three setups work for you! I have a hard time making 6 setups work.
  17. Holy Dobyns!!! LOL nice man I've heard great things about Dobyns
  18. There you go OP you can have white line and a braid that sinks! Sounds like a recipe for success!
  19. I would say if your not flipping and frogging in the heavy stuff with a stiff heavy action rod your missing out!
  20. Yeah Sunline makes the best braid IMO I have used them all extensively and I wanna like 832 but I just can't stand a line that looses it's color in literally 1 hard day of fishing and turns my $300 cores puke green and bleeds all over the place in the boat and everything it's terrible. OP I would say this as honest and real as it gets if you want quality braid and money is no option I would say Sunline FX2, Daiwa Samurai braid. However if your just looking for an average economical braid you really can't go wrong with the original good ole' power pro. My advice is stay away from 832 unless you want your hands, reels, boats, and everything else in between green and pukey.
  21. How can you accurately vote for something if you have never used all the products the OP is questioning about? I think this Is where the confusion comes into play.
  22. Sunline Fx2 hands down best braid on the market. I fished with them all suffix is terrible and has proved it time and time again. I would say daiwa samurai braid is a close 2nd but it's just too expensive.
