  1. You have obviously never seen or used a dirty jig then LOL
  2. iRod 754 either there gensis 2 or air series would double down for a good frog and jig rod.
  3. Either deeper water or there holding tight to cover.
  4. Flat sided crankbaits excel in cold water and tidal waters where you have moving water however that's not to say you can't throw them in the summer. Grab a few and try them out if you like them fish with them!
  5. Rayjus makes the best jerseys!!
  6. Choice is yours however dirty jigs makes one of the finest jigs on the market with competive prices I would check those out as well. There California swim jigs are hands down the best swim jig on the market. Also the colors on dirty jigs skirts are the most realistic I've seen to date.
  7. It's too bad they couldn't have got you the iRod because that's a sweet rod!! I have 4 irods and my favorite is there "air" series that iRod Air 754 is one mean rod! I've heard nothing but good things about dobyns so it sounds like it worked out for you. Do you own any other iRods?
  8. 15-20lb fluorocarbon of your choice but I would recommend 16lb Sunline shooter.
  9. Like A Jay said these baits are awesome just like the rest of the duo family.
  10. Both rod and reel need to be equally good.
  11. Check out iRod there large swim model is an amazing rod.
  12. You need a 24v system to move a fiberglass boat of that size. I would recommend a 65 edge bass pro has them on sale right now for $479 which is a great price considering what your getting. I would stick with (2) 29 series everstart maxx batteries.
  13. Stay away from inflatables and keep saving your pennies.
  14. You can get all your questions answered on tackle tour.
  15. Chatter baits for smallies are usually great however there's time a Spinnerbait will work better. D&M piranha in tilapia is a smallmouth slayer!!!
  16. Close to 3lbs but no more than that.
  17. I am an avid Daiwa/Shimano user and I have had great success using my shimano spinning reels vs. Daiwa spinning. The the OP said the shimano is just a little easier to keep "tame" especially with fluorocarbon in the 6-8lb range.
  18. Or you could just get a john with a modified v they work great!
  19. X2 whatever you do don't paint reel parts.
  20. I got a ranger 520C I can rent you. Pm me for price
  21. I seen a video on this before .... I think it was youtube.
  22. Do you realize how strong 8lb Sunline is? I've seen 18lb hybrid stripers caught on 6lb Sunline and that fish took him through a brush pile! You are fine with 8lb
  23. Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it! He is still set on not spending the extra few hundred on GPS the choice is his not mine. Thanks again.
  24. Friend of mine is buying a new 1648 tracker grizzly from bass pro shops we are taking delivery of it this coming Friday. He does not know much about how to configure these boats however he knows what he wants. He is getting a 24v 65lb minn kota edge for the bow and wants to run an lowrance elite 7x on the bow as well. He does not want a unit with GPS/chart plotter he just wants regular 2d sonar and downscan imagining does the elite 7x hdi come with the downscan transducer? Here is the link http://m.basspro.com/Lowrance-Elite7x-HDI-Fishfinder/product/1210111021/603626 Also can this transducer be mounted under the trolling motor? Thanks
