  1. Got a new smithwick devilhorse in firetiger... it wasnt working right out of the box after a little tweaking I never got the buzz but made it produce a ton of bubbles. That was tempting enough for this guy which may be one of the bigger fish Ive caught. This is why you need one MCS
  2. Today was pretty rough for me. The wind was pretty strong in some places and most of my bank fishing spots were slammed with people fishing. Not shoulder to shoulder but at least a dozen feet apart. Spent most of the day looking for new good spots. Didnt have much luck with that. Decided to head home and toss around in the lake by the house which was also slammed packed. Somehow I found a pickerel and right as the sun went down got a decent size fish. Still no toads but I will keep at it.
  3. Got hooked near my temple. Uncle did it. Still give him crap about it lol.
  4. Catch from last night. Going fishing all day tomorrow. Will post more then
  5. Did a little night fishing. Broke my devils horse smacking it on metal by accident. Right after something big missed it... Then caught a 2-3lb fish on the zoom ole monster. Pulled him out of the lillys with a lilly still on the line. Really putting the new string and knot to the test purposely casting into reeds/trees/and lilly pads. Very happy with it all.
  6. Xr50 is my new all time favorite.
  7. Sick! One day I will be as lucky as you! Keep reeling em in!
  8. Got a bigger tacklebox. Caught one today on a one knocker. Lost it 4 casts later. That spider wire I think failed on me. That or my knot. Went to the store and got two more lures and picked up the power pro. Loving it already. Will have to fish all day sunday and see what i can catch. I been on shopping sprees lately. Picked up a new kvd spinner, kvd crankbait crawfish color, zoom ole monster, speed worms, another two xcaliburs. I cant wait for my day off. And figuered out how to attach pictures
  9. Thats sick! Lets hear the play by play. How big of a fight did that pig put up?!
  10. Just be observant. If fish are hitting top water or subsurface you will know. If they go deeper adjust accordingly. You really cant go wrong here in the spring/summer. You will see bass coming from deeper water chasing baitfish shallow most of the day.
  11. Good news ! Because I love them.
  12. Ahh.. I cant attach pictures from my phone. Just picked up two more Xcalibur one hitters and loaded up on some bitters baits. My tackle box is stuffed full now!
  13. What is the deal with bitters? I keep hearing their going out of business!
  14. I loved Bitters baits. Heard they were going out of business though
  15. I found controlling the lure with the reel instead of the pole does the trick. Same action with less chance of fouling since the line stays tight the entire time.
  16. Dang its amazing how a lure can bring back all the emotions of that day.
  17. I just started using them. I remember when my grandfather was dieing of cancer he gave me his old tacklebox. Loaded with devils horses and and all kinds of classics. Picked up one from bass pro a couple days ago and although the conditions suck for it Ive still seen multiple bass swim up to get a look at it. Cant wait for the cold fronts to stop so I can put this bad boy to work!
  18. 1. Plastics 2. Lipless crankbaits 3. Devils horse
  19. Nice catch! When I tell people about these blowups I dont think they understand. Its insane how loud and big they are. It really is something to see.
  20. Gators dont usually go after boats even inflatable ones. If you have a kevlar bottom you should be fine for the most part.
  21. Snakes worry me more then gators.
  22. Tried this morning too. No luck. Ill be buying a canoe soon. I know where they go when conditions are like this. 20foot hole in a canal. Ill show you guys pics when I go next time.
  23. Pretty much anything you can imagine.
  24. You can fish the shore on the north side of toho a little bit and a pier on the east side. I had a good size fish off that pier bump my lure before (probably near 10lbs). Also pretty sure I seen crappie in a feeding frenzy being taken out by bass around 12lb. Never seen top water hits like that anywhere before.
