  1. I have several baitcasters and spinning. It is hard to move my hand. The omega pro is really nice. I have daiwa gold and silver and there is no comparison. Make sure you get the black omega. It is really nice. I used baitcasters for around 60 years as I started with them and a zebco at around 5. I have a new Lew's now which has never seen the water. It just works well for me using the omega. My hands are just not very nimble anymore.
  2. I have many rods & reels. Some spin & Bait casters that have cost me a pretty penny. Old arthur has really gotten my hands and so I started getting different sizes of the omegas. I love them. I have caught huge fish with them and they cast quite far. I have confidence and a lot of fun. That is what it is about for me. Fun. They are easy to use and well built.
  3. I bought a couple of packs, but I had better success with the off white keitech yesterday then the jackall. I will keep on using though. I love the keitech. They catch when nothing else seems to catch.
  4. cincy by kings island has plenty. Filed & stream & others. Go to cedar point it is the best there is although kI is owned by the same company and is good.
  5. This what I do. I don't have kids in the house so I have some spare cash to buy lures etc. with. I know many will believe that that monkey has me buying much tackle. I am totally addicted to collecting lures. In 115 days, I will be retiring. My plan is to use a bait till I catch at least one or maybe two on it. If I can't catch any after a couple of hours, I will go onto something new, but keep it in the rotation. This way I will actually use these lures and be happy when I catch. I plan on fishing, walking my dog and studying the bible in my retirement. I say that my hobby is collecting fishing tackle and luckily my wife doesn't mind. I plan on teaching my grandkids fishing too and giving them my equipment to remember grandpa.
  6. TW recommended the bull to me. I have bought many from them at over a dollar higher for 1. I got free shipping. Maybe it was a weekend thing.
  7. Sebile has a sale on their hard baits including the bull. Buy 1 get 1 free plus free shipping. I bought 8 for $20 including tax.
  8. I bought a few different ones yesterday. I will try for myself to see how they work. Thanks brantley
  9. They told me that the on-line sale is a week after the in-store, but they might match some of the items. You have to call them and ask.
  10. They told me Bassmasters classic sale.
  11. collards replied to Mr Jesse's topic in Fishing Tackle
I had no luck with the noise making lures, but my first cast with a silent minnow lure --- bam- and then bam
  12. Are you a fisherman?
  13. I put the casting (smallest I can get) on a ewg hook on a fluke. It will cause it to sink level.
  14. I want to learn how to read it.
  15. This may have multiple posts, but what are some good lures for this time of year. Fast flowing, slightly stained Raritan River in NJ. No matter where you are at, what works. I have fished the river at another place, but just a little luck using dark green senkos. I would like to use a variety, but plastics too.
  16. Not hard to find, but this past Friday in NJ, the senko green flash worked well in stained water.
  17. Yum discontinued the F2 dingers last year and came out with a new one in a new package. They are now dirt cheap (2.89 at another site etc.). Doesn't anybody know why? I called yum and all they would say was a new bait & new package. Lurenet is pushing these too at 2.99. I know about the old dingers, but I want to know if anyone tried these new ones. I bought 8 packs, but the ponds are frozen so I can't test these.
  18. They have wiggle on the sinking. It may not be the most durable, but they catch fish.
  19. You can buy wacky weedless hooks. I know owner makes them.
  20. I live in jersey ( news stores coming soon of cabelas) and drive to PA for cabelas. I used to buy a lot since my family gives me gift cards (still do). I use TW a lot especially their sales. I used excessive outdoors and academy too as well as ebay (cheap lures, but I fish where there are a lot of snags). I used to go to York PA and the gander mountain. The manager gives 20% off if I buy 100. I used to use their on line, but not so much now. I use Dick's some and wal mart. I buy buy buy. 623 days till retirement
  21. I do know much more today then I knew years ago and I do catch more fish, but I always had a lot of fun and enjoyed all my fishing.
  22. Old timers!!!!!!!! I have used computers since the early 80s and can't see how we lived without them. I maybe an oldtimer, but in 631 days I will be a free-timer. I am gonna quit at 65 and I have boxes and boxes of lures which I have been saving up for my water-time.
  23. Here is how I handle it. I just accept the fact that one of my hobbies is lure collecting. I love it. I keep collecting more every month and/or week and convince myself I will use them. there isn't enough time on the water to ever throw them all. I separate them as I take them out of the package and put them in their own box. I don't feel guilty about not using them or spending tons of money as it is my hobby besides fishing. I love learning about new lures and finding the best price on them.
  24. I use the zoom horny tail hooks which only Dick's seem to carry anymore. Put the hook in the seam or behind the butt of it. I get a lot on the fall and just reeling it in. I have the best success with watermelon/red flake and the bullfrog colors. I fish a pond with many frogs in it and so I have had real good catches with this toad. I have tried several others both hard and soft, but the zoom and the scumfrog works best for where I am at. I love watching it move as I retrieve and then right by the shore ----boom-- a nice strike. I love em. So does the fish.
  25. Back in the 90's I bought a Kelly pre rigged worm. Never used it, but I tried it 3 years ago and caught some big bass right away. I use new and old lures, Heddon, arbogast, bomber etc. If it works, it works. A lot of new lures copy the old are just there to catch us.
