  1. I don't. I'm a generalist when it comes to fishing. If it looks good I fish it.
  2. Just got back! Awesome trip. We will be back for sure.
  3. Does anyone know if BPS uses Seaguar and just puts their label on it? Or is it's made in the same factory? It seems identical to Red Label....
  4. Adam Sandler put it best... I frog at a medium pace! But in all seriousness, I fish them pretty quick until I rule it out. Then I slow down to a crawl.
  5. Strike King: Love their plastics (Rage Tail) and crank baits. I also use their tungsten. Bill Lewis: The legendary Rat-L-Trap GYCB: Best plastics in the industry. Everything they make is quality. Revenge Baits: Best flippin jigs I've ever used Zoom: Super Chunks and Trick Worms!!! Keitech: Crazy Flapper is amazing. I hear they have good swinbaits too. Gamakatsu: best hooks 6th Sense: Incredible hard baits. The best weight pegs.
  6. I love the Flappin Hog! I throw that and the Rage Chunk/Craw the most. Super Chunks are great too....
  7. I just started fishing these about three months ago.... Let's just say, they are amazing. They caught some crucial fish for me in my last two derbies. The bite had shut off from the morning and I was able to grind out a limit in some extremely tough summer fishing conditions. I just wanted to put this out there for anyone looking for a new "go to" flipping presentation. They have awesome action. They really are crazy!
  8. Norman crankbaits...... PRADCO bought them out and now they are made overseas. Very disappointed. Jackall cover craw are terrible. Gene Larew rattlin craw are terrible. Snag Proof Moss Master Tournament Frog have zero action and are terrible. All BOOYAH! jigs are terrible. That about sums it up! Thanks for letting me vent. I almost listed that one too... Only reason I didn't is because I had several fish blow up on it. I missed them all after watching several take it all the way down and solid hook sets. I think its a great concept but they need to make the body softer.
  9. Welp! I'm headed out to Tennessee in two weeks to camp and fish on Center Hill Lake. I'm not finding much online as far as reports go and was hoping a kind soul would share with me some general information about how the lake fishes this time of year. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  10. Red Craw, Bluegill, Sexy Shad, Chartreuse/Blue Back
  11. Seaguar Red Label is the only fluorocarbon I use. Its reliable and its the right price.
  12. Congrats on snagging a good woman! My wife just let me make a TW order too. I stocked up on jigs and craws... Tight Lines!
  13. The EXACT same thing happened to my favorite rod. I got it replaced for 4 bucks at my tackle shop. Took em five minutes.
  14. Falcon makes my favorite composite rod. I absolutely burn em up with it during the fall feed up. Falcon Cara T7 Reaction Cast 7' Medium Composite
  15. Some reels just have a certain noise when you crank the handle. I've had a couple BPS reels that functioned correctly but I couldn't stand the way they sounded when I was retrieving line from a cast. It may just be your reel's personality.
  16. http://www.tournamentfishingtimes.com/ia_bass.html I'd start by calling some of the POC's listed here. Good Luck!
  17. Thanks for the info gentlemen... I'm going to check out the dock rocker. Looks like it has a lot of great features.
  18. Great job man!!! God I love fishing!
  19. What phase are the bass in right now in WA? Have they spawned yet? Up north where you are they should be spawning or early post spawn which means you can still find them near the bank in shallow coves and pockets. given the color of the water I would be throwing a dark colored jig or texas rig or throwing a spinner bait in fire tiger. I took a look at Newman on Navionics... If I was planning my first trip to that lake I'd be getting ready to skip some docks. If they're not there than I'd hit the salad.
  20. I have. They are solid reels. Nothing fancy, just a work horse. BPS puts them on sale for 70$ a couple times a year too.
  21. When was the last time the reel was oiled before you purchased it? I fish the hell out of my smokes and they will squeal a little if they want some oil. After a good basic lube job they are back to great performance.
  22. 100% Correct. The BuCoo Trap Caster would be perfect for this scenario.
