  1. Definitely my favorite one so far too!!
  2. Welcome to Bass Resource from a transplanted Wisconsinite. And a Bears fan......
  3. Welcome to Bass Resource Chris from a fellow West Virginian. You are gonna LOVE this website!
  4. Well, you can't please everybody. Personally I love the first person perspective. It makes me feel like I'm the one fishing.
  5. I buy it at stores. Locally I can find it at Smoker Friendly, Sheetz and Walmart.
  6. I dispose of most of mine in a rocky river bottom.
  7. Unfortunately it does NOT taste like the real thing, but I find the wintergreen flavor pleasing. I don't know about other flavors, but they put cayenne powder in the wintergreen snuff to give it a burn. It doesn't burn as much as real tobacco (I miss that burn too) but it burns a little bit and if I use it a lot it even gives me a rough patch on my gums. For me it is a safer alternative to tobacco and I enjoy that most of all.
  8. Are you going to be vertical jigging under a boat or casting? FWIW - I've read most walleye guys like a shorter rod for vertical jigging and a longer rod for casting.
  9. Sounds to me like you've already answered your question... Signed, Loomis Fan Boy
  10. My local Walmart has 200 yard spools of Seaguar Red Label for $10.97.
  11. I smoked cigarettes from age 14 to 39 and chewed tobacco from age 14 to 46. As of 6 months ago I am completely tobacco free. I'm not judging anyone and not telling anyone to quit. I completely understand the addiction and also the pleasure that I got from both of them!!! To stay on topic, what I'm using now when fishing is Smokey Mountain Wintergreen Snuff. It's a tobacco-free snuff that tastes pretty good and it's great to feel something in my lip.
  12. Is this the same thing that Strike King is doing with their OPT baits? (Open Pour Technology)
  13. Great vids. I have a weird question: In the second video when the screen says "Bluebird Blue" is the music by Joe Bucher and the TopRaiders?
  14. I've used both Invizx and Sniper in 10# on a baitcast rod and liked them both, but I agree that Invizx is more stretchy than Sniper. I liked both though. With that said, I've also used Abrazx and Gander Mountain fluoro but I'm now using Seaguar Red Label in 10# and love it. Seems about the same as Sniper and I'm only paying $11/200 yard spool. Sweet.
  15. I never had the layers peel apart but they did get scratched and the coating started rubbing off on the lenses. But this has always happened on every pair of plastic lens glasses I've ever owned. Which is why I now own a pair of Costa 580G glasses. Sorry.....
  16. I've never heard of Eye Surrender sunglasses. But I've had a couple pairs of Strike King S11 polarized glasses and really liked them. Light, confortable and most importantly pretty clear picture. And they are even less expensive than the Eye Surrender glasses.
  17. Berkley makes a Gulp hellgrammite which probably didn't exist back in 2007 when this thread was started.
  18. I'm assuming RW was talking about a Jika rig. That one hasn't even made my long list yet, let alone my short list! I added the Ned rig to the list 2 seasons ago and still haven't learned how to catch a fish on that darn thing...
  19. I guess the only brand loyalty I have is with fishing rods. But it's easy because I only use 3 rods: a baitcaster I only use 6 days a year on vacation, another baitcaster I use the majority of the time and a spinning rod sprinkled in here and there. If I was to buy another rod it would only be this brand. For everything else fishing related all brands are fair game.
  20. Welcome to Bass Resource Dave! I can already see you are going to be a great contributor to our forums. I also was born and raised in Wisconsin and lived and fished around Fond du Lac, but I moved to WV in 1997. The only time I have fished the Susquehanna was in April 2016 but I caught my PB smallie that day in the mouth of the Juniata. Can't wait to get back! And I'm looking forward to the GAOS in Harrisburg this year as well. Last year I had a great talk with @Bobby Uhrig from Megastrike and looking forward to seeing him again.
  21. Kind of what I was thinking. The bag was made in the USA and the baits were made in Guatemala.
  22. I'm no expert on glass vs. plastic or which color is better in certain conditions. I have 580G lenses in green mirror and am very happy with them. I bought mine on Amazon for about $180. Before I ordered them I tried on a bunch of different frames in a BPS until I found one that was comfortable on my head and made me look really cool...
  23. Though I'm not a newbie I wouldn't call myself a skilled fisherman. Yet. I'd say my strength is my persistence, and my persistence comes from truly believing I'm going to get bit on every cast.
  24. I always separate the tail. Those Ragetails flap like crazy.
