Thoughts on Seaguar Red Label fluorocarbon
Not at my local Walmart though, they sell only 200 yard spools. But that works for me. I can fill my reel twice and still have some line left over to use for leaders on my spinning rod.

Thoughts on Seaguar Red Label fluorocarbon
I have never used 12-15# Red Label but I've been using 10# on a baitcaster for awhile now. Before this I tried Invizx, Abrazx, Sunline Sniper, and Gander Mountain FC and had good luck with all of them but finally decided to try Red Label because I can get a 200 yard spool at Walmart for $11. I use a small reel and can spool up twice with this. I use KVD L&L and I've never had any line management problems.

The Final Push ~
I was born and raised in Wisconsin so I understand you dreading the hard water that is coming your way soon. I never enjoyed ice fishing and would only go if I had a buddy with a warm ice shanty. I still remember riding in a car on Lake Winnebago the first time at 12 years old with my uncle, talk about FREAKED OUT!! I'm lucky that I now fish the Upper Potomac River and no matter how cold it gets I can always find part of the river that's soft enough to get a bait wet. I rarely catch any smallies but once in a while a walleye will bite. Even with no bites it's nice to have my bait splash instead of bounce. I don't take that for granted...

THE WALKING DEAD is back finally!!!
Yup, "edge of your seat" intense. All of us were yelling at the TV "Do it! Do it! Do it!"

THE WALKING DEAD is back finally!!!
Totally agree. The way Negan was so calm and matter-of-fact about the whole thing was really unsettling. My only disappointment was that he stopped Rick from chopping Carl's arm off. That would have been CRAZY!!!!!!

Seasonal Smallmouth
Thanks for the comments and the videos guys! I'm sure part of my challenge is that I don't have a boat or kayak so I'm wading or fishing from the bank. Either way I'm pretty limited in how much river I can cover during a fishing trip. I can't search and search until I find fish, I have to pick an area I hope will hold some fish. I'm going to keep looking for new parts of the river to fish this fall/winter as they have to be in there somewhere!

Seasonal Smallmouth
I experience the same thing in the sections of the Upper Potomac I fish. In the summer when the water is in the upper 70s there are smallmouth everywhere I wade, but as the water cools down in the fall I have trouble finding fish. Right now the water temp is in the low 60s and last Sunday I fished 7 hours for 7 bites. I don't know if the fish are more spread out or have already moved out of the shallower water I'm wading. But I struggle.

Welcome to Bass Resource Evan! The only time I ever fished the Susquehanna was this past April but I caught my PB smallie that day. Definitely going back!

TDIL: Nets are important.
OK, I can't figure it out. What does TDIL stand for?

JIgheads and Livebait?
Yup, though instead of a fluke I really like Gulp minnows. I've caught smallmouth, largemouth, walleyes, catfish, even a couple muskies on a Gulp minnow.
