  1. Neither, ***, 30$ more but worth it, just make sure you like the handle.
  2. How is the the bend in the 734 like 70% backbone 30% tip? I have no where to feel it but I already have one champion (spinning) and it's a 701 and I has a good deal of backbone.
  3. And thank you! You also helped me pick out rods that I need and was very helpful.
  4. I would like to thank Brian Needham for helping me put this together. Please tell me what you think and if you think any changes should be made, thanks. 733 full handle = 12# line throwing 3/8oz spinnerbaits, 1/4oz trigged craws, or 7 in worm. 3/8oz spinnerbait rod. you will be using this rod for any tubes too. I use it as a spinnerbait rod and even throw some topwater on it. 734 full handle X2 = 15#line. everyone calls this rod the catch all do it all and I cant disagree. 1/2oz spinnerbaits it is perfect IMO. 3/8oz jig work is too. since you will probably getting two of these rods you will be using this rod the most. I use it as a 1/2oz swimjig rod with a grub trailer. I will throw a 1/2 swim jig on it because it is a moving bait and can stand the extra "working tip" I would not however throw a 1/2oz football on it.... you probably can, but it is not my preference........ I will even throw a buzzbait or keel weighted rage toad on this rod. 735 full handle = 17# or even 20#..... all your 1/2oz jig work, 3/8th 10in worm work, lighter pitching, beavers with a 1/2oz weight.... I use it for my 5in big hammer rod with a 3/4oz head. 764cb RM medium divers..... now here is somewhere I am not well versed, but it is something I am about to buy for myself.... I want a rod to throw DT10 to a 5xd on.
  5. Did you put like a mono backing on? I've never had any problem with 30lb but never used 20lb
  6. I'm thinking about getting a champion 735 to use for jigs, flipping and frogging.
  7. Abu's Revo Rocket has a 9.0:1 Gear Ratio with 37 inches per turn, what in the heck do you need that for? the only thing i could think is punching. My 7.1:1's do the job just fine though. What are your guys thoughts? Needed or wanted?
  8. G. Loomis is awesome I've fished some but never owned any I think there over priced on their lower end models, IMO. But if you have the money and like the action I say go for it.
  9. *** *** Duckett Micro Magic (never used one) Powell max or endurance Everyone says pinnacles are pretty good!
  10. I'm returning my *** and it was going to get a Kistler pro series but if can get a dobyns coalition weapon for the same money. People say it's a painted savvy are they? Also sorry for posting 2 posts about rods just looking for a good rod! Thanks
  11. Hey david, My cousin has the new IMX drop shot 6'10 mag medium he said he was fishing 50' and could feel the bite easily, he returned his dobyns champion for it and likes it. He uses braid so that could help. They seem like good rods.
  12. What reel did you have on there?
  13. My choices would be- Pinnacle Perfecta - Duckett Micro Magic On the higher side - dobyns champion - St Croix LTB
  14. I just wished they had an ECS reel seat and not an ACS, how do the rods balance, are they better with heavier or lighter reels?
  15. Does anyone know when the next tackle warehouse sale will be?
  16. *** is a great rod, just beware the reel seat and handle aren't for everyone.
  17. I like traditional better, on micros the inserts pop out easier and sometimes hard to pass a braid to flouro leader.
  18. How do you like the T3?
