yeah mon, plan on doing the same....I did see gusts to 25 on Saturday though.....should make it a little more challenging.

Go with st croix 7ft mojo bass tube and grub rod with a shimano sahara 2500. Sweet all purpose spinning set up. For casting go with the 7ft st croix mojo plastics rod with a pro qualifier reel. The plastics blank does well with t rig plastics as well as crank and spinner baits.....this will give you 2 do all set ups. You will be able to cover and properly present a lot of techniques.

My father got 10 yesterday in DE on a black Senko, 2 over 5lbs.

I don't know anything about where I am or where I can get to yet at black hills. I fished off the 1st pull off headed toward the bridge on Clarksburg rd. I saw on the map it was no hard trail so I figured it would have less people. How much of this place can I fish? It looked vast coming over the bridge. There was another pull off there I Uturned at but I didn't fish it.

lol I just got the winter monkey off my back and now this.

What is everyone going to be doing to deal with this upcoming cold snap?

I got 3 at Black Hills Saturday. Nothing big but it was a good morning. 2.5 on a white Spinner bait was the biggest.

I can dig it. I would drag it to the base of a stump and shake it, then crawl it around the side and stop it again. For like and hour and a half I was waiting to feel the flick.

I threw a brown 3/8 with a rage craw trailer. This pond does not have craws but I thought a bigger profile might look good to a prespawn female. Nothing, nadda, zippo......The only thing I didnt do that looking back I should have was throw on a soft plastic jerk bait......

Fished in DE this past Saturday, had a high pressure system with 20 plus winds on a high pressured pond. The shape of the pond and direction of the wind gave us no places to tuck in, or hide from it. The winds made it hard to fish anything that was not chuck and reel bait. Water temps 54-56. I got one bass on the rage rig with a Biffle Bug before the wind really got rolling, and 2 pickerel.....1 on a red craw red eye shad, 1 on a purple robo worm. The winds put a stop to fishing the rage rig any sort of normal, and the same with the robo worm. I resorted to throwing silent square bills, and the normal ratltrap, spinnerbait approach but could not force a bite. Fished the wind blown banks pretty hard and didnt do anything there either..... I bumped the stumps, yo yo, waked, slow rolled, and could not get a reaction. I want to hear some opinions on the progressive thought process for forcing a bite in conditions like these. I felt like I did all I could and it just didnt work out.

Anyone catching fish here? Headed up this Saturday.

I fished last Saturday in my 1st tourney and the answer is yes....I can easily use 10 technique specific rods. I used the 6 I have effectively, but it would have been just a little easier to have 4 more rigged and ready to roll. The "want" has now grown lol.

I have 6- 4BC and 2-Spinning. I "want" 10 I need to add a flipping rod, 1 more cranking rod, 1 more plastics rod, 1 more spinning rod.
