Thanks fellas, my 1st tourney is this Saturday in Delaware, next weekend I am headed that way.

I was 7 or 8, got a nice 3lb fish throwing a buzz bait in Lilly pads. Been addicted ever since. That strike burned it self into memory, and fueled the fire for the middle school years. I had a private pond a bike ride away from where I lived in Pasadena MD that was loaded with 2 to 6lb bass and crappies. I got thrown out of there 3x4 days a week for about 5 years. The cops and DNR knew me by name, but really what we're they going to do? Arrest me for fishing? I showed them many times while walking the fish able areas I would pick up trash, glass, line, what ever didn't belong. I would ride away and tell them "see ya tomorrow". The need to get bit was worth the problems.

Figure I am going with a brown jig of some sort, rat l trap, drop shot, senko. Start with the standards and see what I can turn over.

I am going to start fishing Black Hills this year. Its supposed to rain this weekend pretty good up 270 so I am going to stay local 2mrw for a few hours at Centennial. I am reading more about Black Hills, and seeing some good stuff on YouTube so it wont be long before I make my 1st trip up there. I have a tourney in DE on April 5th so I would be it will be the weekend after. I dont know anything about the place at all...any do's and dont's there?

I have seen balls of fry in golf course ponds of various sizes guarded by large bass, I would think its weeks before the guard is dropped.

Anyone from the area, or fish it regular ? I will be fishing this location from Black Hill Reg Park from shore to start, and by boat once I have my bearings. Any info is appreciated. I saw a few good clips on youtube, and its a big place so I would think it holds some nice fish.
