I Am A Swim Jig Guy
Yessir, I am the youngest in my club. These fellas are set in ways that have done well for them in the past. I come behind them and MOP. They have started throwing it in front of me but they dont fish it like I do. I put it down and wait til they put it down. Pick it back up after they get into the groove and fill the box!

I Am A Swim Jig Guy
Lol I have 4 colors in 2 size dirty jigs and the all get BLASTED. I have ordered duplicates in case a toothy critter has a go at it. I cannot do without those 4 swim jigs.

The Super-Slow Swim Jig
Got ya, did you think about finding an elaztech trailer to help slow down your fall rate even more? Those baits float right out of the bag or several casts into use

Line Color Fish See It?
Think about it like this....when you see something new most of the time you touch it to help your brain associate it to something. It helps you interpret what you are seeing and class it with other things. Fish can only bite and smell something to interpret and class it as food. Visually it got attention but the only way they can be sure is give it a chomp. Far as line goes with this if they can see it, they have no way to class it. Not saying that they are not aware of it, but more so they cannot make the hardline decision that it is a threat enough to pass up food. I think the less of that visual signature the better but that is as much for my brain as it is hiding it from theirs. On the other side of that coin when you are walking a path and catch the last glimpse of the super thin spider web right as it wraps around your face and you become a ninja trying to get it off you, you d**n sure dont walk through there again without making sure there is no web there.

First Expensive Rod, Broke In First Season :-(
Not trying to be rude but rods dont break like that under are normal and even most bad situations. In my opinion what ever happened to that rod was done under extreme pressure. I have seen 1 other break like that and the driver was passing a dock with the tip poking out of the bow. The tip hit dead center of the piling and the butt was tight to the console. The rod was not allowed to bend at all and it exploded basically due to the compound pressure. Most have been in that bad situation where you go in to free a bait and tide or wind does not work with you and you end up snapping a tip section off but blowing it up like that takes a real bad situation.

How Many Lures?
I carry 6 or 8 @size and color ratl traps, jerk baits, and top waters. My offender box is the crank bait box. In my hard baits I have certian ones that I am always going to reach for in certain conditions bc confidence in what you are throwing is important. So I really dont have a problem selecting a lure based on condition that I am excited to throw out of the sizes and colors I have. Then there are crank baits......deep,mid range, square bills, sub surface, short and fat, flat side, tight wobble, wide wobble, on and on and on. So many awesome colors, and styles. Very easy to accumulate and store. 15% never see water and 40% never had a hit.

Maryland's Who's who!
I hit up the south river today for some multi species action. We got a bunch of jumbo white perch, several 16-20" rockfish, and 4 pickerel. Nice change of pace on light line.

You have to trim the skirt right to the start of the blade.

I Am A Swim Jig Guy
I gave it a once over and will say that it catches fish. As predicted the retrieve is totally different, and the feel odd. For me this would be used as an adjustment to my go to swim jig and rage trailer if the fish were acting funny. I cant say that I would have this tied on in place of my go to. Having to trim the skirt up to accommodate the blade gave the jig an interesting look as well. I also think that this could easily replace the midnight special for you night time guys if you put a big thumper on the back of it. I will keep throwing it around to see when and where it works best, but my go to is that for a reason.

Senkos, Why Spend The Extra $ When Cheaper Out There
What ever a GY senko does that the others dont makes the difference. I have fished all the look a likes. I have fished some local customs. Same wiggle, same fall rate, same colors. Something about GY senko though. Not my favorite way to fish but it has its places. If I am in one of those places I have to reach for GY. I have seen too many times where the look a likes get beat out by the orig

I Am A Swim Jig Guy
Agreed....swim jigs flat catch fish. For me the rage craw trailer in sparse grass has been devastating. This hybrid bait really opens up options where the rage trailer is a bit out of place. I am very curious to burn/wake it as well as a slow roll.

Bass Fishing At Night
I have fished 3 tourney in the last 2 seasons that start at 4pm and end at midnight. The night portion is such a different world. All the lures mentioned are good, if you want a big girl go with a black single Colorado blade spinnerbait. Big blade, reel slow and wait for the thump!
