  1. Tom,looking at yor pic,it looks like your bow is on the roller, not up against it.
  2. I tried putting the strap underneath and bringing the bow up to the roller, but the bow bounces. It won't tighten.
  3. I thought the V shape on the boat, sat on the roller. Thanks,Glenn, and everyone else.
  4. I bought a 1980 skeeter last summer, and already replaced the roller 3x.I was using the black roller, but it kept breaking, after a few outings.I just replaced the last one, with one of them orange rollers, seems to be thicker. Here's the problem. When I winch up the boat,it will not go over the roller, the bow must be lifted up,and sat down on the roller.I can't do this alone.Wher you attach the clip from the winch onto the boat, just won't go over the roller. It went over the roller using the black ones. Also on the trailer, the strap won't go under the winch,I think the strap is suppose to go under. If I try and go under,it won't bring the boat up tight. The new roller is the same size has the black one,I took the old one to the dealer and we measured it.I hope i'm making sense.
  5. I had a few personal accomplishments, back in the 80's,when I fished tournaments. But now that I have an 8yr old grandson and watching him catch fish,is my greatest accomplishment.I taught my son to fish,in turn he taught his son.Watching the two of them in the back of the boat, laffin and havin a great time, well it doesn't get any better than that.
  6. In Delaware I catch lunkers every night.But then I wake up.LOL
  7. I don't kiss and tell.
  8. Bill Dance for me,and he can pick the lake. But really I love fishing with my son and my grandson.Nothing better than seeing the smile on an eight yr old kid, while he's fighting a nice bass.
  9. Back in the 80's when I was in a club and fished tournaments,my go to bait was a spinner bait.Since getting back into fishing last year, and learning about swimjigs.I haven't used a spinner bait.In Delaware most of our ponds have fields of lilly pads.I love throwing a swimjig in those pads, and hold on.
  10. Honestly,I don't know why.Growing up in NYC,dad took us upstate.We.d catch whatever would bite. When I moved to Delaware,I just started to fish for bass.
  11. I'm trying to post some fishing pics. When I hit the image button, nothing happens.Am I doing something wrong?
  12. I'm not sure the age I started fishing, not manny lakes in NYC to fish.lolBut dad took us upstate NY,where we'd fish. When I was eleven yrs old.,I spent the summer in southern Il.,with my grandparents. They would take me to ponds and creeks and we'd fish with canepoles. When I moved to Delaware,is when I finally got into fishing a lot.
  13. NY,Pa.,De.,Md.,Washington Dc.,although it's not a state. Wait,how many states are their?lol
  14. Where in De.are you?I'm in Milford
  15. My answer is HELL NO.Who doesn't have a cell phone today?.Just drop me off right here,I'll call someone,to come and get me.I will admit,I do throw my cig butts in the water. I was out rabbit hunting one day,a friend started to take a drink of brady.I said,we are using my dogs,i'd appericate if you wouldn't.He said but i'm cold.Dress better.I know beer and brady isn't the same. But when i'm fishing or hunting,I don't want either around.
  16. Last time that I got skunked, was a few years ago.I was driving down a road, hit some dead black animal with a white stripe.Man that thing smelled.LOL
  17. Hail and snow showers,in the middle of July, temps -10,strong 25 mile wind out of the north.Lol
  18. Back in the 80's I was fishing a river with my best friend.I got a crankbait caught up on some rocks.I yanked it free, and it went flying in my friend's lip.I couldn't get it out,so he drove himself to the hospital, with the crankbait hanging out from his lip.I told him i'd take him,but he said, fish on.Well he came back with a little box.He had the nurse wrapped up the crankbait in gause for me.lol.We laffed about that for a long time.Ross took his own life in the late 80;s.I still think of that day,and miss him a lot.
  19. I grew up in New York, dad would take us fishing in upstate. We fished for whatever we caught.lolI met my wife in Delaware, and I moved there.I was in my twenty's when I started bass fishing.I guess I learned on my own, using a spinner bait.I bought a jon boat, then a bass tracker.I joined a club when I was 34 or so.I sold my tracker and bought a procraft with a 140 engine.I fished all of the time,my job allowed it.I made Delaware's eight man team, and that was a blast. My best friend in the club, took his own life, and I couldn't deal with it.I quit the club, sold my boat, and quit fishing.I bought a two man plastic boat,so I could fish with my son, just for fun. That boat finaly broke down.I stopped fishing in the early 90's,until I became disabled in 2011.I got bored staying home,so I bought a 1980 skeeter with a 115 merc.I now fish for fun, with my son and grandson. What I learned from fishing is too enjoy what the Good Lord, gave us.
  20. No bass eatin here, they taste like what they live in.WEEDS.Now maybe if I wrap them in bacon, they'll be good.Afterall, everything tastes better cooked with bacon, right?
  21. I'll let you know in a few weeks.I'll be turning 65 yrs old.. I can last about seven-ten hours, but it kills my knees and back.If i'm fishing with someone,i'll let them run the trolling motor, while I sit back and rest.
  22. Back in the eighties I was in a bass club.Every year we held a kids day, where boat owners would take the local kids fishing on the water. One year I didn't take my tackle out of the boat, and it was all stolen. At the end of the day,we'd give out awards.Well I had my boat and truck parked in the parking lot,and somebody stoled all of my tackle. The next day was Sunday, and we had a club tournament.I had to run around and buy some new tackle real faast.
  23. Everyone that I take fishing, they catch more than me,while fishing from the back seat.
  24. I love throwing a swimjig,in and around lillypads.
