What Are The Best Add-Ons/customizations You've Added To Your Boat And Trailer?
Yes, it can't take 100% of the weight off. If I could keep my motor 100% down I would, but I can't because the trailer sits too low. If I did my skag would get ripped off driving down the road. So I have to have my motor up.

Baitcaster Line
My friend worked at Gander for years. He has Power Pro braid on all of his rods that have braid. He could have used whatever line he wanted for a discount. When we go fishing he brings literally 12 baitcasting rods. So, when I got line, I asked him what to use. He said Power Pro braid. I put it on my rods and think it's great. I've had it on my Plueger Patriach for like 5 years and haven't changed it out yet. It's still going strong. He said he doesn't change out his braid for years either. I have 30lbs and 40lbs on my rods.

If you could only use one, what would be your choice? And why would you choose the choice you made?

G Lock Or Ewg Hook
I just bought some Gamakatsu Skip Gap hooks which are made to keep worms on. I figure this will hopefully also stop wacky rigged Senkos from sliding up past the hook eye and ending up on the line. When that happens, the Senko gets tore up being pulled down over the hook eye for the reset and eventually the Senko gets thrown off when the next fish fights. When Senko's are thrown it has to be from up over the hook eye, obviously not off the end of the hook. So, hopefully this will stop it. I have gone from EWG and G Lock hooks to Gamakatsu Octupus hooks and have lost less then before, but still losing some.

Mojo Bass Rod
I used a Mojo Bass Frog rod for a few years. Loved it. Got a Cabelas Tournament ZX Frog rod and after using the two side by side I haven't picked up the Mojo since. I found after comparing the two that the butt section was much too short on the Mojo. It felt like I was using an old pistol grip rod compared to the Cabelas. It also felt like a thick broom handle while the Cabelas rod which was also a heavy felt like a medium heavy. Plus, the Winn grips on the Cabelas rod are awesome. I got the Cabelas Tournament ZX rods for $69 each on sale and they are usually $100 which isn't bad either. I'm sure they will go on sale again. I'd definitely look into the Tournament ZX if you're looking for a new rod.

Favorite Way To Fish?
I started out spearing carp from a boat with 9' foot spears. Tons of fun. You can spear them close or throw rjr spear and get them. Tried bow fishing for carp. Got quite a few but didn't like it nearly as much. Went back to spearing. For bass, topwater, no doubt.

Finally Caught Some Fish On A Jig But.......
Interesting. That's how I fish a spinnerbait too. lol. Apparently I've been doing it wrong most of the time. I'll try changing it up. So, just a straight retrieve back to the boat with a swim jig?

Finally Caught Some Fish On A Jig But.......
So I've been trying to expand my repertoire and become a more well-rounded bass angler. I've caught a few fish on my Hack Attack jig and Zoom Super Chunk but haven't had much success in the last few years and really haven't tried. So today I went to some standing marsh reed which makes up a long island. On the 1st cast with a Senko caught a nice 1lbs bass. So, I put on my new KVD Swim Jig with black Zoom Super Chunk and made a long cast down the island. I let the jig sink and as I took up the slack I had a fish. I reeled it in and it was another nice 1lbs bass. I was pumped. 2 fish on the 1st cast with 2 different lures and both nice fish. I did lose my Zoom Super Chunk though and it was my last one. So I switched to KVD Rodents. I caught about 6 more bass and it seemed I lost a rodent or it's legs on every fish. I was letting it fall to the bottom, giving it a sweeping swing back, reel in some slack, let it fall, give it another big jerk, let it fall back, rinse and repeat. So now I am out of Zoom Super Chunks and KVD Rodents. The problems is the price of plastics adds up and I'm no richie-rich. I was wondering if a different plastic might be more durable and if a different jig may do a better job of holding onto the bait. I also caught all of my fish on the initial splashdown except 1 which I caught basically right after that. I thought I should be catching more fish on the swim retrieve back as that is what a swim jig is supposed to do. My bro used it and did catch one right at the boat though after reeling it all the way in. Do most of you catch your swim jig fish on the swim retrieve back?

What Are The Best Add-Ons/customizations You've Added To Your Boat And Trailer?
So most people have added at least something to their boat or trailer to make it better. What are the best add-ons/customizations that you've added to your boat and trailer? Here are the things that I've added and am very happy with. 1.) Minn Kota Terrova This thing is awesome. My used 2000 Crestliner Fish Hawk came with an older cable Minn Kota. I couldn't work it because the foot pedal was too high and hard to use. I wouldn't be able to use the Terrova either but they have some awesome toe controls at the base of the foot pedal that I am able to use, rather than using the pedal. If I could just get a pedal that had the toe controls I would buy that. They are great. The trolling motor's "spot lock", "autopilot" and "constant speed" are truly amazing. It makes my entire boating experience fun and enjoyable. I love this thing. It's a 80lbs version with Ipilot but I didn't get the sonar to match with it. If I had gotten that combo it would be almost as expensive as my boat! 2.) Boat Buckles I didn't get these last year because I was low on funds. The original standard buckles were a pain and always needed adjusting, they also were always undone by the time I got home from the lake. At about $9 a pair they aren't too expensive to replace every 5 years or so, but the boat buckles are so much better, efficient, and easier to use. I was able to find them at etrailer.com where I get most of my trailer stuff because they have great customer service and prices. I think they were like $48 when I bought them on sale. There is a reason boat buckles come standard with some high end boats. 3.) Cabelas Casting Seat I love this thing. It allows me to sit at the perfect height but also stand and take some weight off of my feet. It is 13-1/2" to 20". It's great. 4.) Bullseye Loading System Trailer Guide-Ons I added the Bullseye Quickload boat guides because when load the boat by myself and there is a wind or I'm on a river it can be a pain to get this nearly 18' foot boat loaded correctly, especially if there is a line of people waiting to also load or unload their boats. These are a little more expensive at $199 a pair but I am really happy with them. They are guaranteed to keep your boat within 1/4" from center. The guides are pointed in for a centered loading and then move outward away from the boat afterward so that you don't have a chance of rubbing up against your hull and damaging it or marking it up Honorable Mention: Dual Pro 3 Bank Battery Charger: I've always charged my boat battery with the standard plug in battery charger. But I never had 3 batteries that needed to be charged at the same time. I looked at Pro Marine (which is the brand that Cabelas puts their name on), Minn Kota, and other chargers. My friend has had 3 of the Pro Marine chargers go bad on him, luckily Cabelas exchanged them with no problem. I saw that all of them had issues except the Dual Pro. I bought the more expensive Dual Pro and am happy I did. I've never had a problem and it chargers my batteries quickly, every time. The Dual Pro is larger than most chargers, but it's purposely made that way. M-y Wedge Transom Saver: I think today's newer boats have strong enough transoms, even my older boat, but a little extra insurance and piece of mind doesn't hurt. I don't like the transom savers that go from the trailer to the boats lower unit. Your boat and trailer can move separately. If you hit a large bump the transom saver will transfer all of that energy from the trailer backward into your lower unit while your boat is attempting to move forward still. That can't be good for the lower unit. My 115 horse Mercury used to bounce around a ton, it doesn't bounce around nearly as much anymore. I always leave the boat ramp with my motor as straight as possible and normally by the time I got home the motor would be severely tilted to one side or the other, a testament to the bouncing I believe. Now with the M-Y Wedge, I haven't had that problem again which makes me think it really is bouncing around less, which can't be bad for the transom and outboard. For $39, it's a cheap piece of insurance. I use it because I can't trailer my boat with my motor 100% down, because if I did I would tear my skag off because the boat and motor sit so low. These are just things that I've added to my boat and trailer to make it more enjoyable and efficient to use. What have you added to your boat or trailer that other people might be interested in?

Anyone Not Have Success Or Dramatically Less Success With A Certain Senko Color?
Do you guys have any greater success with one color over the other?
-
Anyone Not Have Success Or Dramatically Less Success With A Certain Senko Color?
For me those colors are unproven and I don't want to buy a 100 pack in an unproven color. I also don't know if the lakes I'm fishing are considered stained or clear. I usually fish Bald Eagle and White Bear Lake in Whitebear, Minnesota.

Anyone Not Have Success Or Dramatically Less Success With A Certain Senko Color?
I've only used cinnamon brown and some blue one with black flakes (I think). I've had a lot of success with the cinnamon brown but only changed to the blue one today when I ran out of cinnamon brown ones. I caught 2 fish. So not enough experience to know. I want to buy some in bulk from Tackle Warehouse but see that they don't have cinnamon brown as an option. I'm in central Minnesota. Anyone not have success or dramatically less success with any certain Senko color?

Can You Buy Senkos In Bulk?
I have one of these. Stopped using it after I lost 3 Senkos on casts. I switched to using 3/8 shrink tube from what I learned on here and that's worked better.
