  1. Depends where you are and how deep your spool is, it can easily be done
  2. Once you put on all the baits on and weigh it, it will far exceed 1oz, may exceed 2oz too depending on the baits you put on it. My 9 bait rig that I have is rigged with 2 blades, 4X 2.5" dummy grubs, 2X 2.5" swimbaits on a standard wire 1/0 EWG hook, and 1X 3.5" swimbait on a 1/8oz weighted 4/0 swimbait hook. The whole thing weights a hair over 1.5oz. Be careful with the weights.
  3. depends, if you are around some big fish and think they might pull you to your backing, your backing should be same or higher lb just so you dont break off if you set the drag too high
  4. you can't cheat. if its not 8, its not 8 >:(
  5. 8:1. thank god theres an 8:1
  6. I find im able to do this sort of retrieve on a quad blade spinnerbait a lot more than a single or double bladed one.
  7. not quite as fragile as senkos but more fragile than dingers. I think action wise, its ever so slightly better than dingers, but not enough to matter to me. I personally dont buy them because more often than not, I find them not so straight, and I dont ahve to boil them to straighten it.
  8. Hi, sounds like you are only using 1 o-ring so that the hook lays parallel to the worm. Use 2, criss-cross them, then put hook through them.
  9. I often tie 10-15ft long leaders, just so I dont have to tie on a new one during the day.
  10. All my knots go through my zillion sv tw just fine
  11. I like booyah and river2sea ones
  12. Better equipment gives you more specialized options to make your life a lot easier, such as rods/reels for swimbaits, carolina rigs, jigs, frogs, punching, etc. A generic all-purpose rod may hold you back on learning the true ins and outs of certain techniques. Another thing is sensitivity. Ya sure, you may catch a lot, but how many more bites could you have gotten if you had a more sensitive rod to detect them? This is something you will never be able to find out unless you upgrade, as it is impossible to say how many bites you miss. Say for example you are trying to learn dropshot, or shakyhead or something of that nature, how would you know you are doing it right if the bites are very subtle? you may not feel the bite when you imitate a pro's method, which may lead you to believe you are doing something wrong, and force you to continuously change your methods, you simply can't tell. One final thing is weight/balance. Lighter/better balanced rods decreases fatigue, which will help in many ways, especially if you twitch your rod a lot. A sore wrist is not fun. You should upgrade when you feel you want more fish, target specific fish, and/or when you feel you have gained enough knowledge and your current equipment is holding back your progress.
  13. I always take baits out of their packaging, other than soft plastics. The packages takes up too much space, won't be able to hide everything under my bed
  14. my owner twistlock hooks do pretty much everything that hook is meant to do, il stick with my owners.
  15. I want to put on some kind of cover for my rod butt to protect it against scratches. The butt section is 2.3cm (0.905") wide. I was looking at some eva butt caps such as this one, and was wondering if its possible to stretch out the eva over my rod and have a snug fit, or would the eva tear? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Fishing-Rod-Building-EVA-Butt-Cap-45mm-NEW-/201567896761?hash=item2eee6204b9:g:vvIAAMXQyY1TRjwd
  16. secret krabby patty sauce, they got mr krabs on their pro staff
  17. I throw my s wavers on my x7 diablo fastmove, rated 3/8-1.5oz. If your budget allows it, megabass makes a few cheaper rods thatl do the job as well
  18. Here you go https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gan_Craft_S_Song_115/descpage-GCSS115.html?from=basres its 1oz, its a glidebait, it floats
  19. you know, a simple google search turns up tons of answers. Heres 2 from this forum
  20. performance wise, the Zillion SV TW is the best one for you. The old TD zillion is good, but not as good as the new ones. The 3 reels can differ pretty significantly in price, with the old TD zillion possibly being the cheapest, the SV zillion being the most expensive
  21. You know how people likes to cut the legs a bit to make it harder for the fish to grab just the legs and not the hooks? Haha, popping perch ?
