  1. Difference in manufacturer, nothing else. They all have their own take on what a medium powered rod should feel like, and thats where the difference in lure rating comes from. Honestly, the difference 1/8-5/8 and 1/4-3/4 is nothing. Iv seen some with max lure rating as low at 3/8oz, while others are 3/4oz, all being "medium powered"
  2. those line tie loops are screwed on, you can just twist it. Don't worry about its durability, i have yet to have one pull out, and many lures use screw-in line/hook ties

  7. no, it doesnt. The actual quality of the carbon fiber in the blanks affect the sensitivity as well
  8. I was casting to a buoy thats anchored off shore at exactly 90m, and i was shy of about 2 school bus lengths from reaching it.
  9. the one time i tried an open faced reel in Japan, it casted about 50% longer than my daiwa lexa, using a 1oz topwater. the line management was horrid and i havnt picked one up since
  10. My 110 out-fishes my pointers in ultraclear waters with no wind. my pointers out-fish 110 in slightly windy/stained waters.
  11. Nope, I dont think the fish in my area care what line i put on it, as long as its not straight braid.
  12. yes, GG colors have a very shiny and reflective finish on them. Go with regular perch if you want a natural look
  13. VMC Sure Snag Hook
  14. i buy my tungstens in bulks of 100s with a few friends and i get get them VERY cheap. my 1/2oz bullet sinkers are about 80 cents each and my 1/4 and 3/16oz ones are about 60 cents each
  15. i got a few spools for $3 each, its good for the price i paid, havnt really had any problems other than a bit of memory.
  16. I use the savage gear glidebaits and swimbaits a lot. I like to run mine at 0-1ft because i fish very weedy lakes.
