  1. get 1 pack of 1/2oz and 1 pack of 1/4oz and try them out first before you waste money on other sizes
  2. Theres no standard for lb test diameters, so each manufacture will say what they believe is true. They mean that the braid is rated to 40lb but has a diameter of a 10lb mono. As far as that line is concerned, its perfect, spool it up.
  3. Funny thing, my local store actually carries megabass super leggara rods, along with X7, C40, XX, Levante, and Hyuga. They also got NRX, Champion Exretme, Legend Xtreme, and a slew of other mid-high end rods. Their price is a bit too high for my liking so i only go there to check out the rods, and order it online.
  4. For me, no. I use a 7.3:1 for cranks up to 12ft deep and im fine with it for hours of usage. As long as i turn the handle slower, i dont get tired
  5. Americans call it graphite, everyone else calls it carbon fiber
  6. That's a really open ended question. What may be light or won't tire out someone may not be the same for you. When you say heavy, im assuming its rated to 1.5oz for jigs and what not. For me, its my X7 Diablo Fastmove.
  7. anytime your water isnt frozen
  8. I use owner twistlock EWG hooks. size depends on the size of craw
  9. theres a screw thats set inside the break dial.
  10. one of the older zillions did that I think.
  11. What happened to this, no more dobyns fury? You can always upgrade from a fury to sierra
  12. Lucky Craft Lighting Pointers are $9 each, I love mine
  13. a-rigs are fun, but can be expensive if you fish snaggy waters. You could always use weighted swimbait hooks instead of open jigheads like I do, but it does decrease the hookup by a noticeable amount when the fish swipe at it. Try buying a cheap rig to try out first.
  14. without adding extra weight, they dont cast good at all. I personally dont like them
  15. well, if its a thin layer of surface rust, you can always use some random solutions to remove it. vinegar, coke, store bought solutions all work. If its corroded, then just throw it away and replace it. If its dull, sharpen it.
  16. by "cleans and shines metal lips and metal hook hangers", you mean rust removal? As far as cleaning the rest of the lure, warm water is all I ever needed, as my lures never get dirty to the point where I would need additional chemicals to remove dirt. I clean my lures after ever 3-4 trips.
  17. there are very cheap carbonfiber handles on ebay, like $10 each, if you really want it.
  18. bluegill, shad, ayu, perch and bone
  19. I save up for high end rods, and keep them till they break
  20. ya, you bought the wrong hooks
  21. They are the same price and the hooks even look and feel the exact same. I have no reasons to try fusions when gammys work so good
  22. I know what you mean. Gamakatsu makes one thats welded shut if thats what you are looking for. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_Super_Heavy_Cover_Flippin_Hook_4pk/descpage-GHSF.html?from=basres
