Is This True?

Recommended Posts

I was reading a review that stated that the Fenwick World Class casting rods are the same blank as the NRX. It seems, according to this customer review, that Fenwick bought the blank from Loomis. Does anyone know if that is the case or is it fiction?

False and ridiculous.

Honestly I don't listen to any reviews unless it comes from websites that give honest reviews of tackle after extensive use such as TackleTour or ***. Reviews from people on TW are always ridiculous "This rod sucks it broke when I tried boat flipping a 6.5lber" "This $90 rod is more sensitive than my NRX"

People tend to exaggerate things a bit and make up information

The reviewer probably heard that the World Class uses the 3M Powerlux Resin system in the blank, the same resin system used in the first production run of the NRX and the St. Croix Legend Extreme and Elite. Pure Fishing owns Fenwick and Abu Garcia and they have purchased the rights to the 3M Powerlux Resin so other manufacturers had to develop their own nano resin to make the blanks but trust me, I'm a Fenwick fan and the blank on the World Class is good but it isn't the same as the NRX, not even close.

Gloomis won't even sell to custom builders.

That's cause they know custom builders would build a better rod than them!
