I doubt that was staged, they were taking some seriously heavy hits, if it was staged then I give them credit for taking massive blows to put on a show.

Alberto/modified Albright is best for braid to flourocarbon... But I use uni-uni for small lines like 10lb braid. I re-tie my leaders after a couple trips but know plenty who will tie on a long leader and don't re-tie until it gets too short. Whatever gives you confidence, if you lose confidence in a knot then you need to re-tie. You shouldn't have to think "I hope this fish doesn't break my knot" while fishing.

On really slow days after I fish a bunch of lures and nothings working I will switch to something I have the most confidence/expertise in and just fish the mess out of it.... Like say you are confident and good at fishing frogs for example, just find some good cover and fish it the whole rest of the day and you'll have a better chance of getting a bite.

Silver Carp get 40+lbs and can jump 10ft out of water... Hitting one going fast on a ski/boat = very bad day/death

I like a fast reel for everything except deep cranks.... 6.4 or higher.

Chain pickerel here account for most of my lost baits. That's the main thing id be afraid of, I won't be throwing these in the back of banks lake where you can catch jacks more than bass some days ( but man there are huge bass back there )

Rod ratings are pretty useless IMO, from my experience flouro has a better abrasion resistance than braid, maybe your just using bad line?

Yes, like zoom speed craws, I throw those on spinning gear weightless with light wire EWG's

I use lightwire EWG on spinning gear a lot and get away with it.

I think I'm just gonna stick to the normal tatula, the faster ratio is the only big difference and I don't care for it that much. 7.3 is plenty fast for me

If your really worried about a strong hooket throw on some braid and see if you like it, that's what I use with shakey heads and love it
