  1. What the heck, I'll give it a try. I enjoy bass fishing with __________ .
  2. *It's supposed to be 60, 60 60 60, then 70, 70 70 70, la la la la la la!* ;D
  3. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/hooking_up.html Have a look here. I usually use a large wide gap hook for fishing soft plastics. There are several good brands of hooks, I prefer Mustad myself. Sometimes, red hooks work well.

Finally, someone to keep Glenn in line.
  5. I will second the beetle spin. Although that lure doesn't look visually appearing, it is a key lure for catching crappie and even bass. I love the beetle spin.
  6. It's supposed to be 70s next week, and right now it's about 50. Sorry for rubbing it in. ;D
  7. I enjoy fishing shallow water mostly, with wood and weedy cover. I chose the first option, shallow with wood. I just found a great place with a large dead tree fallen in the shallow water I intend on fishing when I go out.
  8. Don't you guys know who got the real record? Seriously though, I would like to see Mac's bass certified.
  9. Perhaps it could become a sticky thread in an Everything Else section to save space?
  10. We could have some members answer as we do other questions in other sections of the forums.
  11. I was scanning through my monthly Bassmaster magazine, and I for one am always curious to see what old lures are in the "What's It Worth" section. I was wondering about what you guys think about it, and if there should be a section here. I'm not saying that we should put one in right now, I'm just curious as to what you guys think about it, yes, no, maybe, etc. If there is a lot of positive input, then perhaps Glenn could think about implementing a section. Thanks!
  12. Awesome! How did he catch him?
  13. Oh, I've saw those before. Hilarious
  14. Nice job! I wish I could get some fish that size.
  15. If you do something all the time and never have a break, like if I fished every day for 5 weeks without not giving it a rest, you would get tired of it, and it would seem like a dull job that something exciting.
  16. Congratulations! That's a good fish!
  17. That's a $2800 fish you are holding.
  18. Yeah, I spoke with sales associates at two Wal-Marts, and both said that neither the gun section or the fishing section were going out.
  19. Does the person who has the mojo choose a name from the list (who to send it to), or is it just a random decision? BTW, I'd bet that $20 sent to Russ would get you the mojo.
  20. Another WV boy! I haven't personally fished Sleepy Creek, but I have heard anglers say that there are some large bass there. I believe there are also some pike there, but I can't confirm that. I would first try your hand at some senkos fished weightless, and after you tap into some bass, then do what RW said and upsize. Try some larger baits and naturally some larger fish will follow. Where else in WV do you fish?
  21. It seems that the PETA workers on trial were acquitted. Such a shame. These animal killers should have gotten what they deserved. http://www.petakillsanimals.com/Trial_Day10.cfm Here is an interesting follow-up on the case.
  22. Oh, that's touching, Muddy. ;D
  23. Agreed.
  24. It seemed like they never showed anglers fishing on the water. In the superbowl, they usually show the game in its entirety, and they wouldn't even think about not showing a great catch, so why can't they apply that logic to the Classic? I give them a [move]D[/move]
