I used to use straight fluorocarbon on everything but recently I've switched to suffix 832 with a p-line shinsei leader ,been loving it great braid & line.

You won't be disappointed I have a few smokes and have had no problems whatsoever. I like the 100's but prefer my 150. Good reels & definitely a killer deal you got yourself.

Don't have this problem with mine but it's possible that it just might be over lubed & needs a clean up.

Right now at dicks they have the quantum smoke 100 in the 7 ratio for $149.95 just that one version. The smokes are solid reels and real smooth I love the ones I have and that's a great deal for it usually $200.

I go no brakes at all & pretty loose spool tension & control with my thumb. Whatever you feel gets the best results for you . If pitching & casting with the same set up at the same time i usually put 2 breaks on.

I have been using the caffeine shad with great success. Trim off about a 1/4-1/2" and your good.

I've been tying braid to the spool like that for a couple years never had a problem.

I would grab it. I don't have the spinning reels but I have a couple of the baitcasters. I love mine & I have never had any of the issues people talk about mine are still smooth as butter,you won't be disappointed. Quantum's get a bad rap because of the occasional lemon.

So if you buy something for a couple bucks get yourself a coupon. That's what I did and when they rang it up it was actually $10 cheaper than marked so all said and done I payed like $47. They're going quick near me but worth it love mine.

I just got a 13 *** Monday & it's quickly becoming my favorite. If they offered their reels with more line capacity I would switch all mine over to them. So ya it's a good one.

It looks like a bead organizer for making necklaces & bracelets my daughter has something just like it. You can get one's just like it at a craft store like Michael's.

I chose the smokes over the exo because I saw something I felt might cause problems down the road the reel foot on the reel is riveted to the reel not one whole peice I thought it looked like they would work themselves loose over time and the reel would wobble on the rod. But having already owned a smoke I knew it was a good buy the smokes are just awesome reels I love mine & they have never let me down.

I myself have been playing a little over 20 years self taught. Currently rocking a les Paul had an awesome SG but my son knocked it over & broke the headstock off still bummed about it miss that one hardcore looked just like an iommi. I love stoner ,death metal & thrash but don't get to play much anymore do to the whole father thing but I love em. The great thing though is my wife let's me fish when I want and supports me in so that's been awesome.

I own a few smokes both 100's & 150's I have never had any of the problems people talk about and I rarely clean or oil/grease them. Some people must just get lemons. I use mine everyday pretty much too.
