  1. I'm getting very fond of using fluoro for my deeper cranks. I'm finding that I'm getting an extra 1-2 feet deeper with my DT10's and above. Hookup ratio's are good and casting distance is very good as well. I'm using KVD Line and Lure conditioner the night before, and another shot the morning of.
  2. My Pap still kills bass and walleye with a 3/8oz super rooster tail. Great lures!

  5. They're great lures and they certainly have great action. My only gripe with most Megabass jerkbaits (Vision 110's and the Flap Slaps) is the thin wire hooks that come on them. I've bent quite a few of them out and always finding myself replacing them. Don't get me wrong, they're a sharp hook, but they do bend easily.
  6. The saying goes: Wind from the west, fishing is the best Wind from the east, fish bite the least Wind from the south, blows the bait into the fishes mouth Wind from the north, fishing is the poorest
  7. DT10 would be my most go to crank bait. I've always got one tied on. This spring, this custom painted one has been my go to color.
  8. Bill Lewis now makes a one knocker in their traditional Rat-L-Trap
  9. That baby bass/crappie looking one looks great.
  10. Like others have said, so many good options out there and everyone has their opinion. Check out some of the following companies. Spro Smithwick Rapala Megabass Strike King Lucky Craft Duo Realis
  11. I like the Why Nots for flipping and jigging.
  12. That's terrible to hear. I feel for you. I hope it turns up soon for you.
  13. Likely could be a healing scar from being caught before.
  14. Did someone say cheap sunglasses?
  15. I use the HG model Metanium on my jerkbait rod. I prefer the faster speed for picking up the slack line whenever I get bit.
  16. I usually keep an extra spool or two around....
  17. You can't fish pike waters unless you have jaw spreaders.
  18. Hate to bring up an old thread, but I was at Cross Creek last weekend and from the looks of it, the kayak tournament was going on. How did you do? What was the winning weight?
  19. That setup should cover most bass fishing techniques for you.
  20. I think the Chronarch E is being discontinued and stores are discounting them to sell them out. Great time to pick one of those reels up as well!
  21. I've been wondering the IPT on my CuradoB38. Does anyone have this information?
  22. A few retailers have them at this price right now. I personally love my new I series Curado's. I'm wondering if maybe they're dropping the Curado I price and bringing out a new reel in between the Curado and ci4?
  23. Mine didn't come with a split ring and it doesn't have any of the "hunting action" at all. I highly recommend a split ring or a snap if you want to lure to do what it's supposed to do. I guess Megabass couldn't afford to add a split ring for the $20 retail price....
