I read this today and couldn't help but laugh. I dont want this thread to spiral into a political debate. Hope you find it as entertaining and a bit enlightening as I did.

Nice thread. When I think Rivalries, Im talking big rivalries. Biggest hands down is Red Sox vs Yankees. You cant get any bigger than that in MLB, sorry. Celtics vs Lakers period. It carried the sport for decades in the 1960s, 1980's and just recently. One of the longest running without a doubt is Harvard vs Yale football. Ohio State vs Michigan needs to be mentioned as well. For rivalries in NFL every team has divisional opponents. Some of the bigger ones Chiefs vs Raiders, Cowboys vs Redskins, Jets vs Patriots. NHL some of the bigger ones are Bruins vs Canadiens, Canadiens vs Maple leafs, Red Wings vs Avalanche though that has seemed to have calmed down a bit.

I dunno I have great hookups with the Spro frog. Sure it leaks in some water now and then. Is that a bad thing? Having it sit lower in the water I think is a positive. Right now I have the all black red eyes Spro Frog tied on. Love me some full contact frogging. Just curious maybe you guys arent fishing this on the same equipment I am. Im throwing this on a Heavy All Star Flipping Stick, 40lb Power Pro Braid, and my drag cinched almost tight. I have half the summers worth of fishing on it and it still catches fish.

Sounds good Derek although work is pretty busy and it would have to be on a weekend. We can figure something out. I got out yesterday and it was another tough day landed 7 but it was tough work. Water temp was 61*F I figured fall patterns and again I struck out. The aggressive ones were still on summer patterns and very picky about biting. I scrapped together some on a different jig and some soft plastic but it wasnt easy. Hope you all had better luck than I did.

Might be able to hoist a cartop in from the town beach. I dont think anyone will give you a hard time this late in the season but I wouldnt try it in the middle of the summer.

Yea Wagn is right. Cobbetts is pretty much a private lake. I dont think the town launch is open now. After the life gaurds are no longer there, Im not sure how that works though.

People are truly thoughtless and inconsiderate. My lake has a beach that is private in the winter time the gate opens to allow people to bring their snowmobiles out onto the lake. However outsiders find their way thru this open access as well. A few years ago they were drinking beer and throwing the beer bottles out onto the ice. These Idiots, threw their beer bottles out onto the ice into the swimming area. Sure enough people were pulling pieces of glass out of the swimming area. Along with some kids and adults that got cuts on their feet from the glass. The rest of the summer all visitors to the beach were wearing shoes/sandals into the water to prevent from being cut. Thoughtless actions like this make it so others lose out, or become harmed.

Amen Rhino! Its only a matter of time before these lake associations and home owners on the lake get upset and shut down the access to the lakes. Then we will have one less body of water to fish on.
