I was looking at the MHX Elite Pro Blank EPS86MHXF or the MHX High-Mod Gen II Mag Bass Rod Blank MB863XF. will probably run Fuji K series guides and not sure on handle yet. Thought about trying the ALPS MVT TORA seat and either the Winn grips or maybe some carbon or kevalr tubing for the grips

I just built a drop shot rod using the minimas TiBlack guides and really anxious to get out on the water. The guides are pretty light the whole rod cam in under 3oz finished

Well I don't fish much open water I like to beat the structure. I want a sensitive rod because i have big dumb hands and every little bit helps. Ill spend a little extra on the blank thats no problem I don't like how Phenix doesn't list the power of the rods and St Crois has never done it for me but I've never had a higher end rod just some Mojo Bass's and some Triumphs. Are these blanks better?

If you could or have built the ultimate rod for flipping 1/2oz jigs what is it. Ive got 2 rods lined up to be built and I've been looking at components and blanks lately. Don't be picture shy I love you're guys work!

So I'm working on a MHX mb783xf for spinner baits and close action accurate roll casts. Ive never owned nor fished a rod this short so I'm curious what you guys would recommend for a handle length. I know its gonna be different for everyone but I'm just curious what you guys run and recommend. Thanks!

I don't have the space to really run it on the right. Ive got it on the left and its spinning towards me, thats why I'm asking. I didn't know if reversing the wires would make it run in reverse or not.

Ive got a CRB rod dryer and the way my bench and rooms setup it spins towards me and makes it more difficult to do the epoxy. Is there a way I can reverse the motor on the dryer?

Im with ya on that but this rod is for a buddy who was gonna buy an 80$ rod and I told him i could build him a lot better rod for a little more. I was gonna use the MHX MB783 blank because the high modulus would put me over my cap of 130 when complete. I figure if I can afford to build my self another rod at the moment i can at least hook a buddy up and get some more seat time.

Curious if anyone is running or built with the AirWave Slim Ring Line Control System casting guides, I see Enigma is running them now. Gonna be building a 6'6" for spinnerbaits and swim jigs.

Thanks for the tip I was gonna post and ask guide size when the time comes. Ive got a few rods I need to get done before I jump on the swim bait rod. I plan on building myself one also.

Im curious on how you guys go about reaming butt ends like the Winn grips or solid eva. Working on a rod now and used the reamer and just don't feel like i got it 100% straight and figured there had to be an easier way.

Those seats look good! How do you like the RodGeeks blanks compared to the MHX? I see they aren't far from me at all and they are around the same price.

Do you have and pictures of your Tennessee handles and how are you extending your rods?

Yeah Mike @ DVT recommended it to me I've never fished one but looking forward to it. What blank are you using for your spy baits?

Ordered everything for this build, I ended up going with the minimas 16,8,5, and 4 runners. Figure they will be good enough for this build ill be right around my 200$ mark. I got some kevlar tube to build a Tennessee handle, I'm itching to get this build started. Again thanks for the help and ill post pictures when I get started.
