G Loomis Jwr 3 Or 4 Power?????
For less than 3/8oz + trailer, in my opinion, the NRX 893C is unbeatable. It's a super rod and the sensitivity is incredible. Good luck and keep us posted. Matt

My wife would say that I buy it daily. But I buy most of my stuff from TW and on various forums so obviously sales and when I see a deal I can't pass up.

What Do You Think Is The Absolute Most Effective Popper?
I've heard as smalljaw mentioned on YouTube and other forums - the waiting for the rings to disappear before popping it. Why is this important?

Neko Rig & Whopper Plopper First Impressions
Went out this morning to a local farm pond as I had family activities in the afternoon but wanted to get out for a few hours. I brought 2 rods and 2 baits/techniques. A size 90 yellow head whopper plopper and a few weedless wacky hooks, o-rings, 1/16 nail weight and some worms a member on here was nice enough to send me. Both first times using these presentations. I went out from 7-10 this morning and caught probably a dozen fish all in the 8-14" range. Nothing too nice but I did have 3-4lber jump out of the water and miss the WP. Right when I got there I threw the WP and first cast landed a tiny guy. Proceeded to catch about 7 or 8 total on it. One thing that surprised me was most of the fish were caught on the front hook. Possibly due to bank fishing and many hit it right near the edge where the weeds were. I really like the sound and bubble trail it leaves. Looking forward to more time with it. After a half hour in I started moving around and alternating in the Neko rig. The bite was slow and initially got frustrated since I was doing so well with the WP. But I stuck with it and ended up landing 4 on it. I like this presentation and still need to work on how to fish/present it best. But it certainly has promise. Matt

Duo Realis Crankbait 48Sr
So I fish the heck out of the Manns 1-minus and do love it. But I saw this bait while on TW today. Anyone have experience with it? I am starting to become a Duo fan as I have slowing added their baits this year. For the price and quality they are hard to beat. I'll pick one up, but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with it. Thanks! Matt

Did I Get A Fake G Loomis Nrx? Help!
I only own 2 NRX the 893C and the 852S and they both have the model, lure weight, length, line weight, etc. on it. Ask Loomis if the company you bought it from is a certified dealer. If they are and it does end up being fake - you should get your money back or they should send you a new rod. Hope it works out for you! Matt

G. Loomis Nrx Spinning All Around?
I have an 852 and it's a seriously sweet rod. I have throw tons of stuff on it from wacky, light t-rigs, shaky head, drop shot, weightless senkos, and even poppers. I don't know about frogs (not the best for heavier cover/slop). It super sensitive and a great all around rod. Matt

Neko Rig
Yes for sure. Just looking to see what people found gave the best presentation and hook up ratio. I'll play around and see what works.

Neko Rig
I want to give this a try but am having some trouble on how to rig it - specifically the hook. It appears that you take a wacky hook and rig it in-line with the bait with the hook point, pointing up (to the water surface). So the shank is the part in the bait. I have also seen it plain wacky hooked - perpendicular to the worm, hooked where only the bend is in the worm (also hook point to the water surface), among others. I'm sure they will all work, but how do you prefer to rig it. What size weight? Thanks, Matt
