Which brand braid and conditioner do you use?

So let say a company sent you 25 rods to test for them. How much time do you think it would take you to evaluate all of them?

I was at Cabela's today, the Silver Hawk I handled was an excellent rod. Lite, well balanced, ACS reel seat and quality guides. Just a very nice rod on sale for 60 bucks. If they had a 7' heavy I'd have bought it.

So You got a look at his rods.... Did you cast any of them? Overall what did you think of them?

I've read articles that mention some of the reels are made in China.. maybe the writer was wrong. Personally I don't mind where they are made. As far as bashing goes, I haven't seen many post anywhere in the forum that insult Shimano. My reply referring to the OP returning the Shimano and switching to Lews was a tease.. Not meant to stir up sheat to make it stink.. lol I suppose if there has been a lot of bashing it would be cause for Shimano owners to feel insulted rather than chuckle after reading my post. Sorry about that fella's. Also let me add: Shimano was the company that built the original Lews reels. If not for them Lews may never had developed the brand. Shimano has always been a quality product driven company.

Yes they are. Depends on the model.

He got a noisy Shimano reel., must be a Chinese version.. He should send it back and switch to Lews.

Lews are built in Korea. Most of the Shimano reels are made in China as is the new Ardent.

Has anyone checked out his rod video's? They're short but right to the point. The rod specs are in my wheel house.. Even the reel seat with a conventional seat nut which is important to me are part of the specs. It's not the oversized aluminum clicker nut.

I like the Abu Garcia Ike rods. If I could just get my hands on one.
