I'm not familial with the cranking rod so I can't offer an opinion. What I can tell you is I bought a Magnum 1 for jigging. It's a 10 in my opinion, I'm going to buy the spinner bait rod next. Lews should do more promoting, It's a heck of a rod. But then they will have to raise the prices.. No win situation I guess.

Bass fishing has been slow since the start of the season here. Cold water and lots of wind. I was happy to catch a 3 pounder last week. Nice video, you had a good day!

My nephew started with an Abu Black Max. He still uses it 2 years later. Nice little reel for $40.00. I'm a Lews fan.

Which P-Line did you switch to? I tried the Floroclear yesterday. Not a bad line but it doesn't cast like Invisx and the feel for my baits were reduced considerably. Especially my jigs. I'm going to try the CXX. I have a strong feeling I'll be sicking with Flouro.

Send it to a Lews warranty center. Don't waste time trying to figure it out, just get it fixed.

I was fishing out of a kayak 10 years ago before the boom! I like fishing from my canoe now.. more room in it for an old guy like me.

I bought a new 55 pound thrust MK Endura Max.. Huge difference over my 1-5 click 46 pound thrust Endura. I have more power and it draws less ah. Depending on my day out fishing I'll use a series 24 deep cycle battery or my series 29 deep cycle or both. Last season I had a few days out where I drained the 24 battery and had to paddle in. That problem has been solved. The other addition I made was a front and rear anchor system. Keeps me planted and I'm not wasting battery life or fishing time. I'm aware the 29 will try to charge the 24 if the 24 drains down while I'm out there. To date this has not occurred. I also used tin coated copper 6 gauge wire for my leads with red Anderson connectors and MK 60 amp circuit breakers. If anyone out there knows if the 2 different batteries can or will cause damage to the motor let me know.
