From The Home Page: Rain Shadow Eternity2
Hi TxHawgs, Thank you for asking. Here is how our company is structured: Batson: Parent Company ( Not a brand name ) RainShadow: Our own Rod Blank line. Eternity2: Model in the RainShadow Lineup As in terms of wanting something similar or build your own, this is what we are all about. If you go to our website, you can see physical "blueprints" on all of our models. If we don't have them, just ask we can send them to you. This will give you a baseline to use. You can switch out any product if you want something different. Then you go to any one of our retailers of our product. They can direct you on not only a custom rod builder, but sell you the parts. Then contact the rod builder to make it for you. If you don't want to hassle with that part as much, you can contact some of the rod builders on here or even sponsors of the board to build you a complete rod. Just tell them the RainShadow blank, reel seat, guides, and grips they fill in all the extras! Good luck! You are right, Batson is the parent company. Just people for some reason call them Batson Blanks.. Thank you so much for your support with! Without customers like you, we couldn't do it! To answer your question about Keith and Anthony, they are a variety of different rods for different applications. We can't tell you exactly since it is their IP, but both rods companies have excellent rods for the price, although drastically different because they fish completely different.

Rod Blanks
You pretty much have it.. If this your first build, I would suggest going with a cheaper build to do your trials and errors. I think a few dealers of ours have whole rod kits for $60 or so.. Then after you can bump up to our Eternity2 and Immortal lineup by RainShadow. FYI, the head of product for ST Croix for so many years is now our designer for the past 13!! Soon there will be a video showing some info about Batson! Be on the look out!

Favorite Rod Brand?
Amen Tom! Yes very true!! Look at you! Unfortunately its the builders that are at fault on this.. But in their defense, it takes roughly 2+ hours per rod, and that is if your humming and run into no problems. But that being said.. Here is one of our vendors: http://www.getbitoutdoors.com/rod-building-kits/complete-rod-kits/complete-casting-kits.html They have a whole kit for under $50.00 Im sure that a rod builder could build a bass kit for under $75.00!! So there $125.00

Thank you for the support on the Immortals! They truly have been a great blank for us. You need to try an Eternity2! There hasn't been any movement on introducing a new color, but that shouldn't hold you back! There will be a review on both the RainShadow Eternity2 and the Immortal soon from one of the MOD's here on BR. The NFC is a wonderful blank, yes expensive, but very nice. We have had great success with these as well. They are made in the USA and GEN 2 of Gary Loomis! No Thank you customer service isn't there?? How so? I don't think we have had a complaint cross our desks yet. Did you call them directly and not get good results? Understood on the pricing level. They are very nice.. Better blanks for less money.. That is up to the user unfortunately. Just depends on what your looking for. Thank you for the love DVT! I think we have the most out of all of them combined.. We have roughly 800 or so models of blanks.. over 250+ are dedicated in BASS. You will see a video that Glenn from BR shot soon to give you the "factory tour." Thanks so much for the love! You should like them .. the designer is the same

Looking At Two Rod Blanks
Ya Im just very curious.. Its because customs are far better in every way. Even production customs through a private label. At least you will know that it was assembled by an experience rod builder, guide spacing is correct, and the spine is where its built on vs straight edge... Who wants to fight a fish and the rod at the same time?? Just weird to go into a forum, ask about rod blanks, etc.. then go and buy a $100 rod.

Fly Rod Blanks
I can say this.. Don't be fooled, The Sage rod blank is the top of the line.. We have comparable models as does everyone!! Let us know if we can answer any questions! www.rainshadowrodblanks.com

Swimbait Rod

Looking At Two Rod Blanks
Wow... go from a custom rod to an ABU?? Not sad that he isn't using our rod blanks, but rather chose a built rod that uses standard graphite vs a custom that you can get anything built any way with the best stuff. .. HMMM lol

First Time Rod Building
Best thing to do is always buy the length that you want. You can cut a blank, but you void the warranty, change the action, etc.. We have over 800 blanks models to choose from. Most vendors have models that you "should" find that suites your needs. Taking an inch or so off the butt won't kill you, taking 3-4" will. If you have any questions, please ask away.

Just checking in.. Seeing how your builds are going.

Sensitivity Of Rodgeeks Carbon 4 Vs. St. Croix Sciv
First.. The question needs to be answered as this.. The ST Croix blanks are made in the US at the ST Croix Factory. Is the Carbon 4 actually a SCiV? Mandrels are one thing, but design and materials are another.. Just do your homework.
