But your argument can be said about many fighters, even some in recent years...yet nobody remembers them or has dismissed them. For many reasons...into irrelevance. If they bounce back and make it to the big show...then BOOM, not irrelevant anymore(for the time being). See how that works? Hate the game...or Dana White, not me. I don't choose who fights who.

Did I strike a nerve with frankie's posse or something? Yes, he was in line for a shot, but they put him on hold for whatever reason.... that itself equals "not relevant". If he gets passed over, and is the "guy" supposed to be next in line for a shot at mcg, and does not get it, says something in itself. Frankie has some...many great victories for sure. He would be in the +200 or greater on odds in the hypothetical mcg fight. All the mcg haters can say all they want...I'm not on anyone's bandwagon, just an observer. mcg learned some VERY valuable lesson against Diaz, and you can bet $ he will work on his own weaknesses. We could compare diaz/edgar styles all day and never agree on anything. Edgar is not a ppv main event by himself. At one time, many moons ago, I would say yes. But not now, so the term "irrelevant" is totally "relevant" in context to the matter at hand. If he fights mcg and wins, then he is back in the spotlight, and back to relevance. If not, he stays where he's at.... Just a question. edgar vs cruz? Who and why? I think cruz would give him fits and take the V.

weird dilemma for ufc. holm>rousey>tate>holm mcgregor toyed around too much...for all the diaz haters (I am one), he's a tough dude, does not quit. Like most of the world, figured mcg would lay him out in no more than 2. Good for diaz, let the kid get paid. Mcg will be back winning fights, in a lighter weight class. Just one question...why does frankie edgar think he is relevant? And why does he think he deserves to get in the ring with mcg? Silly little guy, someone get him a happy meal, will ya?

Many here are not judging, voicing their own opinion and criticisms of youtuber or videos. Maybe we need a dictionary link for word definitions here? Many get butt hurt about criticisms of their "products", yes a video is a product....and cry "judgemental", and take it personal. They need to get over it and learn the difference.... If you can't criticize a product, you sure can't rave about it either. What's the difference? Perspective. Feeling don't matter.

ours closed a few years ago, turned into a gander...and their "bass" dept. is about as bad as the local post office. But they do have a GREAT selection for salt/inshore.

I do, can't buy live shrimp online by the dozen...I don't think. Most of the tackle shops around here are geared for saltwater angling. There is a small freshwater tackle shop right up the road from me, I have been in there twice in 20 years. Nobody seemed to want to help me out the first time, and they don't even sell licenses. Went back in last year, they opened up to selling guns too, stopped by to look at guns and tackle...they still don't sell licenses, and the guy blew me off...won't go back. His guns were overpriced junk anyway.

I agree. that fluke guy ends up saying "I" a little too many times for my attention, a little self absorbed for when you are watching to learn something and the focus is accomplishments or embellishments. 1r1r has some good videos, and looks like he has a blast with his videos. And yes, the ltb/mtb mafia has made many of these channels commercials, some good, some bad. I still watch until it gets "meh", then I go elsewhere

Can't complain. Stayed a little longer than usual, none of my kids wanted to get up at 4:15 this morning to make the drive. Sometimes it's good to fish, not to talk, and not to hear anyone talking. Enjoying the silence.....then my phone rings.

Arrived about 6:30am, temp was 34. brrrr. Water temp was 55, got up to 57. Beat the banks with spinnerbaits and chatterbaits for about an hour. Caught a handful, all were less than 2#. Threw a frog when the sun came out, alot of weeds, overgorwn on the shore, water was highest I have seen it, and almost milky, vis. was less than a foot. Wind picked up, blew me around too much to keep at it with the frog...I forgot my bizzbaits frog...arg.had to use a spro. no bites. I was not seeing any top water/shad chasing activity except one fish busted the surface towards the middle. Only once. Started throwing the 10-16' deep cranks in about 15-20' Got git first cast. Ok...Kept on, changed cranks and colors. nothing. Switched up to a lipless, kept it deep, nothing. Put on a 3.8 keitech fat with a keel wieght screwlock hook. 3rd cast, I have the bait maybe 5 feet from the boat, ready to pull it up and recast and BAM! It got hit so hard my line just snapped. So, I missed 2 so far, one other on a spinnerbait short strike earlier. I had moved earlier to 25' water, now I put on a swim jig, slow roll off the bottom at first, nothing, so I switched up and kept it no more than 10' deep. That was the ticket. Mutliple hookups. That died off, so I went with a shad/gold red eye shad lipless. 3 straight casts, 3 fish. Keeping it up above 10" depth was money. Then I got hung up...tried for 15 minutes to get it. Long story.... I did save my dt crank with a knocker today! I did throw the spro rat, but the big'uns are not shallow enough yet. Did not mark any fish on the bottom, they came in shallow or high up in deep water. Was a pretty good day. A couple more weeks and it's on. this little guy above hit an Ike's demon DT16 on the first cast, had to laugh, the lure could almost eat him.

Headed up to dreamstrike tomorrow morning, early. Bringing my new christmas rods and reels to break in. Along with some new tackle. Spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and swimbaits. Who knows how it will go. Decent reports this past week. No hawgs, but plenty of school size fish getting shallow. Not sure how this bad storm and cool front will relate to the fishing. Should be high 30's in the early am up to the 60's by afternoon. I usually get up there around 6-6:30 and stay til maybe noon at the latest. Not bringing EVERYTHING, but a good assortment of some new cranks/lipless too. I'll have the phone/camera and the gopro. Hope we "keep busy".

there's some smaller ones on west side...look at google maps, I don't know their names...Juniper is a bigger one, I have not fished it, so it might be hit or miss. There are some in defuniak also, king lake, I have fished, but in summer and full of weeds...been trying to get back in the spring, but never any time. I know there are some decent spots(ponds) in milton, but I don't know anybody there to let me fish them, or they keep it a secret. check out pensacola fishing forums, a lot of good people on there also that might give you some more info.

There's a few lakes up in crestview you can bank fish. You can hit up blackwater river right there in Milton, easy access. If you get an eglin permit, you can fish the lakes/ponds on the eglin afb property, which is gigantic. Many places. Pier fishing, navarre pier, pensacola beach pier, bob sikes bridge, 3 mile bridge.

rolled through tonight. Reports of some homes blown away and blown over here around the Pensacola area. It got a little scary at home for awhile. Rain is gone now, wind is still blowing. Hope everyone is alright.

I use my kids used school backpacks for my bank fishing. They work fine for the 4 3600 boxes and several bags of plastics, plus the other stuff I throw in there. I use one of those bps tackle bags and speed bags on the jon boat. I really like those wild river bags, but just can't justify the cost over the few old packs thrown in my kid's closets... Good luck.

Been thinking of doing the same for awhile...I have netflix and amazon prime. Plenty of stuff to watch, you can find whatever else you want floating on the intarwebs. I just get over ruled when I talk about cutting cable and cell phone stuff, lol.
