Creek Bassin'
Went today around 3:30. about 93, hot as u know what. My hand is 7.5" from wrist to fingertip. I'm guessing 17-18" Probably 3#, maybe a tad over. Biggest from the creek yet. Caught her on a swing jig with a pit boss. I saw her earlier, she followed the bait to the bank, as I was watching the action of my bait in front of me, she was like a shark on a mullet, BAM, I had too much slack in my line, panicked, and broke my line when I tried to set the hook. Had another big bite when I threw to the submerged branches across the creek, whatever it was started peeling some drag, then got wrapped around down there, let the slack go for a minute, nope, had to break off. Tied on another pit boss, tried a black berkely work earlier, no action with that. Threw it about 10 feet from the last spot, part of a submerged branch was showing(all of these casts were to the shaded side of the creek and wind started blowing). It literally landed on the branch, I tugged just enough for it to slide into the water, gave a slight pull, I just knew I was stuck between that big branch and another one, gave it a "high" wiggle, nothing...then I saw my line headed the other way, stuck her good, she ran to my side of the creek, right up under a branch and some overgrowth, my line got stuck in a split in the branch, so I had to do some shoreline "ballet" to get it out. All in all a good day, I headed home after the victory.

atv/utv/sxs
I don't own any, but went riding with some friends recently, 4wheelers and sxs, had a blast. Had no idea those sxs could literally mow through the forest like butta! Been looking online, comparing models/brands and price. sxs are not cheap, and I would probably have to buy a mid range 4whl for my kids...that's a drawback of having 3 kids...:( Who has a sxs and do you use it as much as you thought you would? I'm on the fence, and really not even kicking tires, just asking questions.

Headin' to the bottom...
Yes it does. Took me a couple days to get over it. That's how crazy it can make a person! Member fishinfiend is still down there for a few more days. Maybe he will have better luck, I hope so anyway.

Headin' to the bottom...
went 0-0 on tarpon next night. And 0 for 3 on thursday, bad day, tarpon rolling everywhere, just would not bite. My son got 3 bites early and lost them very quick. Only 2 other hookups from other boats in area. I gave up after a few hours. Report was Friday they were killing them, eqting everything thrown out. Just my luck. Oh well.

Fishing In Slight Current
I fish a creek similar, little to medium current, depending on recent rain or not. I either use 3/16-1/4 oz. texas rig, or shaky head. I get hung up a lot and broke off, lots of fallen timber, branches in the creek. Everything works for me, trick worms, curly tail worms, lizards are great, dbombs, rage bugs, ultra vibe craws. Even spinner baits. I always throw to the opposite bank, put it in the nasty stuff! And hop/drag it back to me. Patience and more patience. Some days I have good luck, most times not. Gotta keep trying. I go different times of the day, sometimes after work, late morning on weekends, and sometimes afternoon on weekends. The bite has been ok lately, not great. Good luck!

Headin' to the bottom...
Leaving on our annual migration south to meet up with the Silver Kings on Friday. Got a couple charters lined up, maybe another if I decide to drop the coin. Staying in the upper keys this time. For any of you guys and gals that have never had the opportunity to catch monster tarpon. Don't start. It will be all you think about, and it will ruin your kids. I'll post some pics and youtube vids when I get back...

Creek Bassin'
Went today around noon. Not there long before I got a hookup. Monster bowfin. Junebug rage lizard. Fought him for a couple minutes, then he skied about 2 foot out of the water, no joke. And threw the hook. Good show. No other action, came home to take care of some yardwork.

Lizard Baits
catch a lot of bass on those zoom lizards. You can't go wrong with them.

Creek Bassin'
Went this morning. Rained all day yesterday, water was high, dirty and a bit of current. This little buck hit my black powerbait worm as I was just about to pull it out of the water and recast. I guess this little fella was hungry. Thought I was reeling in a stick. A few breakoffs, and 100 more casts I headed home. No skunk today.

Thoughts and prayers needed...
The girls played their last game of the season last night, without Sam. The coaches chalked in a great big "21" behind the pitchers circle. Ended the game winning 21-0. A touching tribute after the game, very emotional/bittersweet. All the players with #21 on their arms and helmets. And the entire ballpark watching, fighting back tears. The support has been overwhelming. We live in a place where everybody knows everybody, just about. Sam will be laid to rest Friday at Nativity of our Lord in Pensacola, Florida. RIP little Angel. #21 Forever...Sam

Thoughts and prayers needed...
I don't usually like to put personal matters in public, but it's been a rough night. My 11 year old daughter told me her friend Sam died today. Her friend from school, who plays 1st base on her softball team. It was so hard for me to hold it together right then. My daughter was so distraught she just wanted to cry herself to sleep. I finally got a hold of my wife, and she let me know what happened. Sam went into cardiac arrest earlier today, went to the icu and passed away. She was only 12 years old. Please pray for her family.

Creek Bassin'
Hit up the creek about 11:30 today. Threw a t-rigged power bait worm green pumpkin. Nothing. Switched up to a blackberry speed craw. Got a hit, and lost it. Reeled in my bait, noticed my bullet weight had some serious teeth marks/scratches on it. Must have been a pickerel. No other action. Headed home to catch gator baseball and the monster mile.

Do you have a routine game plan or do you just "Wing It"
I make an attempt at a plan when I am loading up the night before...Think about my action plan for first light. I use a few options. When the sun comes up, and the shallow water/bank bite slows, I switch it up, again, a few options. I will stick with what is working until it's not working anymore. Then I try something different until something works, then I stick with it until.... I try not to get caught up in "what is supposed to work", I go with what is working...unconventional as it sometimes is. My fishing days are not dark to dark anymore, so I don't have nor want the time to fish a certain crankbait until it starts to work for 1/2 a day. If a spinnerbait is getting the hookups, then it's spinnerbait time. If not, I give it about 1/2 hour to maybe 45 minutes, if nothing, I put it up. If the senko is working...same thing.

Gulf Shores Bass Fishing
Plenty of rivers just north of that area. I'm about an hour away. You won't have a problem. Google map it, don't forget your license! Might want to hit up fishinfiend, he lives and fishes a little closer to that area than me. When I go to gulf shores, it's either work, or inshore fishing. Good luck and have fun.
