Looking For Good Reading Material On Bass Tactics.
I have already hit up 99% of the articles here on BassResource.com but was wondering if you guys know of any other books or magazine articles that can elevate my knowledge on how LMB do what they do. Things like their instincts, habits, and other various tips on how they operate in their environment. Go ahead and give me an article Catch and Grease! lol, they always seem to help me out.

New Location And Gameplan
I am a relatively new fisherman, who only fishes from the banks of small local ponds, not lakes. I am currently stationed at Fort Riley, KS but I will be moving to Fort Worth, TX here in the next few months when I get out of the Army. With the new home, I want to pursue a new direction in my fishing, Kayak fishing to be exact. I feel that my foundation of fishing is fairly solid when it comes to the banks, but as many of us know, the amount of lessons one can learn is severely limited from the shore. I honestly don't know where to start when it comes to my change in gameplan. What kind of Kayak would be best for a newbie like me? I'm 6'2'' 235 athletic build What kind of accessories? extra oar, electronics, anchor/pole What kind of equipment? Rods, reels, lures What kind of Tactics? Areas to target I don't exactly want to spend all the money in the world, but I am willing to invest a solid $1,000 into a kayak, oar, vest, and maybe some new rod and reels. Also, I don't know if I should invest into any electronics right away or not. Any advice or guidance on this topic would be AWESOME! Thanks in advance guys!

What's On The Bottom?
I have no idea if its natural or not. This thing has tons of laydowns and nice structure in it, but it also has 1 side that is a straight bank for about 60 yards that could be a dam.

Poor Man's Carolina Rig
I might get to fish a little in the morning and I am thinking about trying out the C rig. Problem is, I don't have and beads, or swivels. Would I be wrong for just running a bullet weight up the line a couple feet and very gently crimping the end? or breaking off a toothpick in the tip?

Your Pb Planned That Day?
I didn't plan on catching mine, especially 2 PBs within 5 minutes of each other on the same bait! It was raining all morning, and I was stuck wandering around this certain pond. Just as I was getting ready to leave I decided to hit up the easiest accessible bank with a spinnerbait. Then fate stepped in...

What "tools" Do You Bring Out On The Water?
I'm not near as serious as you. I am a bank beater and the most I ever do is check the weather and go scout of my spots the day prior in order to check for downed trees that could make a spot hard to get to. All I bring is my 3 rods, tackle bag, smart phone w/ music, and a scale. I log everything in my phone as well as conditions. It saves room and weight.

Always Ready To Fish?
I drive a 2000 Honda accord, and luckily I have the small hatch from the trunk to the back seat. I normally keep all of my gear in the car with me(3 combos and my tackle bag) so I can go fish if I get off work early enough.

What's On The Bottom?
I bank fish a certain pond very regularly, but have no clue what the bottom is composed of, nor how deep it truly is. It is a gorgeous honey hole. I have read numerous places about using a 1oz weight and just drag it slowly to feel the bottom in order to feel what's there. But how in the heck am I supposed to know what is what!?! Another question, should I use braid so I feel more? Any tips for this would be great!!!

Broke 2 Pb In One Trip Today!
Go look at my gallery! I did the same thing a few weeks back with a strike kind spinnerbait. 2 PBs only 5 minutes apart AND I was standing in the exact same spot haha Congrats

What On Earth Is This Lure For?
I found these in the bottom of a ''variety pack'' tackle box. Yes I know they are probably low quality, but I want to catch a fish on them before I throw them away. But first I need to know when/where/how to use them!!! They are only about 1/8 oz. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Using Snaps
I think I might just have to try these out.

Using Snaps
I am a bank fisherman who normally goes out with 2 baitcasting and 1 spinning setup. I normally fish ponds, so I frequently have to change lures depending on the situation. I hate tying on lure after lure after lure. I am thinking of starting to use Snaps. Do they really affect the amount of fish you catch that much? And what types of lures should I use or not use them on?

A Tough Dilemma
Depending on how far the 2 colleges are from home I would possibly try to find someone who would rent you their boat when you need it. Maybe even a local boat shop that can sponsor you or something as you rent one of theirs. Call and ask, and be super professional.

What To Pair With A Buzzbait
If it's working I might switch to one, but I want to cover water with 2 lures to try and crack the code quickly.

What To Pair With A Buzzbait
Myself and a buddy are going fishing tomorrow morning. He will be the captain of the boat and I am pretty sure he is going to be using a buzzbait. I don't want to throw the same thing, and I don't want to sit there with a finesse lure to follow up his missed strikes. Don't get me wrong, I will have a fluke ready to go, but I want to throw something else to keep me engaged and active. Any ideas?

Leader, Or No Leader?
I am a bank fisherman, who is also on a budget. I want to start using the Texas rig more. I have 1 quality bait-casting combo, an Abu Garcia Black-Max Vengeance 6'9'' M. I currently have it spooled with 20 lbs braid. Again, I am a BANK FISHERMAN. My question is: Should I use a leader to help with stealth? Or just use my braid like I have been? Also, should I use a leader all the time for different lures like lipless crankbaits, or jigs? I feel that if I use one and get hung up, I will only lose my leader, and a lure instead of 30 plus feet of braid. I have some 8 lbs mono, and can't really afford to go purchase an entire roll of F.C. Plus I don't want to get away from my braid because I use the same combo for top water frogs, jigs, and everything else I decide to fish with. You guys here at BassResource.com have always pulled through and gave me quality advice, so please don't let me down now!
