  1. The opposite, TCU was #3, then was moved to #6 after the last week. Florida was bumped to #3 and Ohio to #4. So call be bitter, but Ohio does not deserve to be in the playoffs. TCU already showed how they felt about it with their actions against Ole Miss, they played with class, and respect.
  2. I know it doesn't really fit your genre, but you should definitely read American Sniper by Chris Kyle. Amazing book, true events he went through.
  3. Go Steelers! Make it 7 rings!
  4. x2, this was the highlight of many football trips in high school.
  5. I hope Alabama crushes them. If Ohio gets ran over, the CFP committee is going to feel/look stupid for moving TCU out. But hey, I guess it's all about the money in CFP too!
  6. How about them Horned Frogs!!!
  7. Welcome to the club, tons of awesome info on here. As I am sure you already know!
  8. Welcome home!
  9. I know a guy who has a basic Lowrance Elite-4 on his kayak, and uses his smartphone to mark way-points. Work just as well he says, and he used the money saved towards a good stakeout pole.
  10. That Ascend seat it very comfortable. And there are numerous ways to modify the wing-nuts on the frame to eliminate any interference they might create. Just check out videos regarding the FS12T seat and you will find them.
  11. I'm getting an order today from them! Can't wait to tie one on and...,practice flipping because my waters are frozen! Hah
  12. Siebert Outdoors. Make an order. Top quality jigs at a price that can't be beat!
  13. Jig fishing is another one of mine. I recently made an order from Siebert Outdoors for some good ones. Can't wait to try them out and get good with them.
  14. Same to you! Got any New Years traditions?
  15. If you have a smart phone look into getting a good waterproof case. Much cheaper and user friendly. Plus it will cut down on stuff to bring.
  16. This reminds me of a time I was bank fishing with a guy near me. He caught a dink, maybe 1.5 lbs tops. After that his friend came over and he said "Dude I just caught a 3 pounder!" Made me laugh, I just kept quiet.
  17. Both of my PBs (caught 5 minutes apart) were caught around 1100-1200. But when I am fishing for numbers and fun, the mornings seem to be the most productive. However, I am very new to fishing so I will defer to the knowledge of the vets.
  18. What are some things you want to work on this next year. Whether it be your metal attitude, or new strategies on the water. I know for me personally, I want to start kayak fishing and become confident enough in my abilities to participate in my first kayak tournament (something small of course). What about you?
  19. I have to agree with the above, a baitcasting setup with a 7' Medium-Heavy fast action with a 6.3-1 reel. Would make for a great combo as long as you know how to use it.
  20. Went fishing with the grandfather when I was young. Stopped after I moved in with my mom and step dad. Started back up after Afghanistan. Helps a lot with stress and whatnot. But I am now starting to get serious about it.
  21. I haven't looked but I would imagine there are a few sales going on for fishing gear.
  22. This is a fantastic idea. Booms the economy, help the FWC, helps the anglers. I wish Texas would do something like this!!!
  23. I am currently in the Army and stationed at Fort Riley, KS but will be moving to Southwest Fort Worth in February. I am looking for someone with a boat who wouldn't mind letting me tag along on some trips. I am a combat medic, so if there was an emergency I can do basic care and aid. I will also gladly help with any costs and preparation that needs to be done. I am haven't been bass fishing for very long but I have a decent knowledge base and want to learn more. Little about myself (this is going to sound like a dating ad haha) : I am 23 y/o right now, turn 24 in Feb. Have 1 combat deployment to Afghanistan as a medic. I am married to a wonderful smart woman. I will be working a 8-5 M-F job so planning weekend trips shouldn't be a problem. I am extremely upbeat and funny. I enjoy going fishing and learning as much as I can from more experienced anglers. Type of fishing I enjoy: Largemouth Bass! I want to start flipping jigs in and around cover. I also use a lot of moving baits and Texas rigs. Thanks for reading! SGT Hillman, Robert
  24. $300 BPS gift card to go towards my kayak next spring! And a Bass Master subscription!
  25. Light spinning setup, wacky rig, and patience.
