How Should I Mount My Ff On My Kayak?
Did you just put the duct seal around it and fill the hole with water? or did you just press the transducer down onto the duct seal?

How Should I Mount My Ff On My Kayak?
Do you think silicone would work? Only reason I ask is because I have some already and don't feel like buying anything if I don't need to. I know the Austin Kayak YouTube channel used marine goop. But I don't want that much of a permanent application quite yet.

How Should I Mount My Ff On My Kayak?
Alright people, it's time for me to get a Fish Finder. I have an FS12T and I am considering many different mounting options. #1 is the CellBlok due to the fact that I can remove it all and won't have to drill into the kayak except to install a track system. I know someone else said you can't put it in the depressed area on the sides because there won't be enough clearance for the CellBlok. I wouldn't be against mounting it just fore of those depressions to keep it out of the way when paddling, and I could still comfortably reach it. If you have a CellBlok could you please post a photo on how you mount it? This is my top option, I just know it will be kind of pricey for all of the pieces that go with it. #2 is to mount it in the center of the kayak just fore of the hatch on the small flat area. This of course will be good for keeping it in view and out of the way. Another thing is I can keep the balance even because I would put the battery just below it in the hatch. The only problem with this that I can think of is when I am bass fishing and paddling a lot, I set the rod I am using down in front of me and let it hang off the front of the kayak. Will mounting it here get in the way of that? AND, I am not sure how I would mount the transducer arm. Thought about just using a RAM POD to swing it in the water over the left side. #3 would be to mount it inside and shoot thru hull. I know I will lose the temp readings but it does seem like the easiest way to manage it. SHOW ME YOUR PHOTOS OF YOUR FF SETUP! I'm either getting a lowrance 4x or mark 5x. Not sure which yet.

Lowrance Mark-5X Or Elite-4X
I have the opportunity to get both of these units for VERY cheap. Both are used but it great shape. Just curious s to which one is better, and if they could use the same transducer. It'll be going on a kayak, and idk how to mount them quite yet.

What Line Do You Use With Senko's?
I'll be throwing it 10' and less around grass and cat tails. Weightless for sure. I am thinking about going with the 12# mono setup to start. Heck I might just bring all of them and try them all!

What Line Do You Use With Senko's?
I am wanting to only take 1 out and do nothing but Senko fishing to build confidence in it. I have a 7' MH with 65# braid, a 6'9" MH with 20# floro, a 7' M-MH with 12# mono, and a M spinning reel with 20# braid. Which one do you think I should use?

If You Could Only Have One Bait For The Rest Of Your Life???
1/2 oz White and Chart Spinnerbait with 1 small gold colorado blade and 1 larger silver willow leaf. Seems to be the winning combo for me.

Kayak Bass Fishing!
I am so glad I got my FS12T. I've been hooked these past few months! Even have my 2nd tournament tomorrow afternoon after work!

New To Kayak Fishing.
The biggest lesson I learned fishing from a kayak is How to use the wind as an advantage, instead of a nuisance. Imagine the wind is coming from the south, and you have many.coves and pockets. Look on a map and see what banks run north to south. Paddle to the southern tip of it and let the wind push you to the north. You'll find yourself fighting the wind less and simply adjusting your kayak slightly. Also, eagle claw speed snaps helped me a lot. I only use them to switch out cranks, lipless cranks, and some topwater quickly. Be sure to remove the O-ring on crankbaits though.

I transport my FS12T on the roof of my Honda Accord with a $30 foam block kit. No worries.

Hah, every friend of mine on Facebook was tagging me in this today. Good for that guy!

Casting With One Hand
I do it every now and again. But there have been times where I almost lost my rod and reel haha. It's especially hard since I am a righty and only use lefty equipment. Keeps me from ever switching hands.

Drift Fishing
I do it a lot in the kayak. Either with a spoon, a jig, or a C-rig. Don't catch much, but it's the most proficient way for me on windy days.

Post Thunderstorm Fishing
Just to revive this. The past week here in DFW has been torrential down-poring thunderstorms. How would you fish the colder, muddier, much higher leveled water?

Keeping Fish When Kayak Fishing
There are a lot of relatively simple DIY live-well applications that work well for kayaks. Look for one that uses an Igloo cooler. That might solve the issue for you.

Red Spinnerbaits
Just meant it like red cranks. Sometimes they work better at different times of the year.

Red Spinnerbaits
So I went out and bought a red spinner bait w/ red and gold blades this weekend. Its a 1/2oz Strike King Banshee. Just wondering when the best time to use it? I heard there are certain seasons when it works better than others, but have heard conflicting answers on that topic. What do you think?

1St Bass Of 2015 - What Bait?
Tried my hardest to get it on a Seibert jig, but ended up getting her on a T-rigged havoc black/blue creature bait.

Best Popper?
I still find myself going with the LiveTarget bait ball Popper I got in a MTB one month. Hasn't let me down since, and walks super easy.

Have You Tried The "chicken Rig"
Just wondering if anyone has played around with the chicken rig at all. Look it up if you haven't heard of it, seems pretty neat.
