Price Comparison: Super Chunk Vs. Sweet Beaver
Im just being a whiner because I dont feel the two should be the same price. They are not comparable baits, they dont use comparable amounts of plastic, Im skeptical if they have comparable overhead cost to make them...yadda yadda yadda... On the bright side...I think its great that the beaver is so comparatively inexpensive.

Well thank goodness for that. That right there is ice cream abuse.

<------- Bank Fisherman also. I carry relatively minimal with me, in two small plano 3500 boxes, in my little fishing satchel. Which is more than plenty for the 2-4hrs of the day I have available to fish. Everything else gets stored in three larger Flambeau 5007 boxes in the garage. Bags of soft plastics are stored in a 3-drawer unit. Thats really about it.

Price Comparison: Super Chunk Vs. Sweet Beaver
Based on TW prices. Im finding that the Zoom Super Chunk is about the same price (per unit), as the Sweet Beaver. Im not liking this. (Of course only because I favor the super chunk.)

The Benefits Of Realism?
Would you have preferred I began my statements with "According to fish biologists - Yes bass do see color"

The Benefits Of Realism?
Pleeeeze. There is no need for us to be biologists ourselves, so long as we are able to reference work that biologists have made available. Besides, all of my nonsense is just regurgitated from what biologists and others have concluded from their studies.

The Benefits Of Realism?
They do this with all species, son. Well then.....since you had no prior knowledge of the science involved (until I brought it up) whatsoever....what is your basis for saying the science is flawed? How do you know what considerations were/were not accounted for? You ask good questions, and the answers to those questions are available. So with that, now would be a good time for you to stop posting on here, for the time being, and go read some documentation on this subject. It would surely benefit your fishing.

Very nice. Yeah lets just stick with LM for now, but for the sake of curiosity, what were the larger species you got from it?

The Benefits Of Realism?
Actually they do see color...at least as good as we do, The conclusions about this actually are not based on behavior, but instead on the fish's biology and anatomy. Meaning, someone who gets paid to research these things, took a fish, pulled out its eyeball, sliced it open with a scalpel, and studied it under a microscope. But youre more than welcome to express your concerns to any one of the fish biologists who study this species. Also, when you get a chance, feel free to reference "rods and cones" and their importance in vision.

Dude, which of those baits caught your 4.78? Which of those locations did that catch occur in?
-
The Benefits Of Realism?
Actually we do know what bass see. Its been studied.

I would say No. But, since no one else is biting on this so far - go ahead.

The Benefits Of Realism?
Thats the answer I was expecting, and on the surface, I would agree with that. But nonetheless, my experience has shown that to be inconsistent.

The Benefits Of Realism?
So now let me mix it up with this.... I spoke earlier if "certain" conditions. So with that, are there any conditions, to your knowledge, that would make a bait of high realism, more productive than a bait without?
