  1. I purposefully do not spend a lot of money on fishing, and still catch fish to my satisfaction. With the money I save, I like to use it to take my lovely wife out on a nice vacation.
  2. I recently learned that the spoon shape tends to be proportional to its sink rate. For instance, a broader shaped spoon, like a K.O. wobbler, falls at a slower sink rate than a more slender spoon, like a Daredevle or a Krocodile, which will sink faster than the Wobbler.
  3. Just mount it, and fish with it eh? You guys are making this too complicated.
  4. When unboxing a brand new baitcast reel, what is the first thing that should be done with it before taking it to the water?
  5. Have a look at the Kicker Fish Hightail Hole-shot worm.
  6. Im feelin it.....its messing with my mind though. a little bit. Because the whole Bigger Baits = Bigger fish idea has been ingrained in my head. Any special reason that you prefer the Smallie Beaver over the Sweet Beaver?
  7. Interesting....so when targeting larger fish, you actually set forth to downsize your presentation What size jig do you use with that smallie beaver?
  8. I like it. It just has great movement. and if you pinch off the smaller paddles, it has the same swimming action as the Lake Fork Hyper Freak.
  9. So why the smallie beaver, instead of the sweet beaver or the double wide?
  10. Well then, I shall have to go read that.
  11. I dont have an excessive amount And I really try to keep it that way. I do not like having 8 tons of stuff, more than what I regularly fish with. Especially for only one species.
  12. Wait, what?....serious about horizontal jigging? With DT grubs? Are you saying that you have a preference for DT grubs, over other more elaborate trailers for this technique? Is that based more so on overall effectiveness over other trailers? Or rather on lower replacement costs after several hangups?
  13. Obviously the DT grub is less 'special' than the rage craw.
  14. ooops, my fault. I was looking at the hula grubs. Not the plain jane DT grubs. But yeah, I agree, for 20 that price is decent
  15. Well that says it all to me right there. The water I fish mostly tends to be darker and stained. So then...Green Pumpkin it is
  16. I agree with much of this. Certainly realism would require much more than just a nice paint job. I also wonder how much accuracy in the bait's movement also contributes to its success. But in your experience, do you have the same conclusion about say, craw baits (if you use them)? Have you noticed anything that shows a craw bait design of high realism (like maybe a Huddlebug, 3D Craw, etc.) produce more than a caw bait that is not realistic at all?
  17. I tend to only want one or the other. So I'll get it stuck in my head, this ridiculous debate, of "which one do I want?" Its really dumb, how long Ive stood there in the past, looking at the two, going back n forth, back n forth...."Do I want this one? or that one?"

    Sold Thanks
  19. Yeah, all of these guys who have ginormous quantities of tackle and gear, are a funny sort. Theyll proclaim proudly that, "you can never have too much." I bump in to guys like this from time to time. But when I mention to them, that I have a load of stuff that Im looking to sell. Without even asking about it, they totally cave and say, "Ohhhh....um, no thanks man....I got enough stuff as it is." Funny.
  20. Honestly, In your experience, with any soft plastic...is there anything really that would suggest that one of these colors is any more productive than the other. Do they excel under different circumstances? Such as? Im getting tired of debating the choice with myself.
  21. Welllll.....Perhaps, and as always, with the plethora of information out there, I found something that documented the opposite. Stating that fish, was a food source that provided a higher caloric content, than craws n such. But this was regarding the subject of fish growth. According that paper, while the fish were still actively eating craw, it was more like junk food to them, and contributed little to their growth rates. Now, being a junk food junkie myself, I instantly related to this. But, thats just something I read.
  22. I prefer to use craw-style baits particularly during the time when Im casting towards....the water.

Do those these things wobble on the fall like Senkos do?
  24. Most of them must be males.
