Plastic Worms
I think of Senkos as a kind of worm, but they belong in their own category. Like curly tail worms work great with a T-rig, but Senkos and the like work much better weightless or wacky and are great for low angle casts under overhanging trees or under a boat dock. But I've also been told I have a very bass ackwards fishing style. If you only had one or the other you could still do pretty good.

Zoom Ol monster, green pumpkin. Whenever I'm fishing somewhere new this is the first thing I try.

Any Interest In A Swing Jig?
Great idea, especially a couple smaller sizes like 1/8th and 3/16ths. They would be killer for rivers and spots with current.

Miami might squeak in as a wild card but after that I doubt it

Selective Harvest
12-16" bass plus old bay, a little garlic and butter equals a tasty breakfast lunch or dinner. However I throw most all of 'em back these days

Weird Pond Dilemma
Have you tried a tube on a really light jighead? Green pumpkin with a 1/8th or less jighead is one of my favorite cold water baits. About where to fish try sunny shallows close to the deeper parts of the pond. My favorite pond hasn't been producing lately so I'm also trying to figure out some new tactics for the late fall early winter

Cork Or Eva Grips?
Cork with a full length grip for me but my budget and how good of a deal the rod in question is are also big factors for me, just like most everybody else.

Pet Bass
Neat post, thanks for sharing. I'm guessing these are northern strain right? If so that 5.5 pounder put on the pounds pretty good, wonder how old she is? Maybe 4-5 years?

Lizards
I have some Zoom lizards that I like but for whatever reason aren't a first choice plastic for me. But after reading this thread I think they might work in the deep grassy parts of the ponds I fish in, thanks for the idea

Does Color Really Matter?
What RW said is right on, sometimes it's nice to have different colors to experiment with, but for the most part a few basic colors seem to get the job done for me

Fall Topwater Action
Awesome that's a cool looking frog, and those are some nice bass. I'm surprised it's still so warm up there in the Midatlantic, but looks like the fishin is great!

Your Best Combo Under $100?
Shakespeare micro series 6'6" medium light paired with a Lews LG200 spinning reel. My go to set-up.

Lew's Speed Spool Spinning Reels
I have 3 Lews spinning reels (ls100, lg200, ss300a) and they work well for me. They aren't the smoothest or most shiny but the drags are smooth and for the price they are a good deal. The 100 and 300A came with spare spools which I liked a lot, I can fish mono or switch to braid when the situation calls for it. Check out Amazon or eBay. I've never fished with anything to high end though, but I'm a budget kinda guy so I'm happy with them, plus the Lews customer service is pretty good also.

Flipping And Pitching Baits For Muddy Water
I usually use the 3.25 bug (junior size) with a 3/16ths baby boo jig. They are kinda tender, I ripped the tail off one on accident and use it anyway. In muddy water the glitter side goes up, in clear water glitter side down. I like the bug because it's great for imitating a young of the year bluegill. They are kinda pricey so I only like using them in super shallow water or laydowns that are old so it's just a trunk and limbs.

Bites Coming On The Initial Drop/splash?
Sounds like you are right on point. When I fish the river most of my strikes come on the fall. If I'm targeting shade lines or trying to skip under bushes then I pretty much expect it every time. Way to get 'em!
