  1. Yep. That's what I meant. Thanks for clearing that up
  2. Oh my goodness. Seems like nowadays if a company makes a rod they have to make their own reels too...
  3. What weight spinnerbait did you throw it with? I'm also considering an e6x
  4. Would the 6'6" med be better for those applications?
  5. Forgot to mention but My price range would be up to $180
  6. Hey guys I'm looking to pick up a new rod mostly for chatterbaits(3/8-1/2 oz) and spinnerbaits(1/2oz most of the time) and I have been really wanting to try a veritas 2.0(6'9" mh). Would this be a good rod for that or would it be too stiff? I've heard most abu rods are stiffer than what they're rated. Thanks
  7. I really like it so far. Haven't fished it much but imo it is "the" 1/2oz jig rod. I got the 754 and I would call it a mod-fast. Irod claims that the same blank they use on their genesis 2 rods they use for the fibers too but for some reason it just doesn't feel quite as sensitive as my gen2's. Probably due to fewer guides. It is just as sensitive as my micro magic pro though.
  8. Yes it is. It has a long butt section so that helps a lot
  9. Newest addition to the collection. Has a great balancing point for a $100 7'5" rod.
  10. I didn't think to try that but I will
  11. Hey guys I'm wanting to do a spool bearing upgrade on my Shimano citica e. I have flushed and lubed the originals and it's still not as "free" as my curado e so I'm looking to replace them. What would I need to get to see an improvement? Boca os 7? 5 lightning? Or something from hawgtech or hedgehog studios? Thanks
  12. How do you like that veracity compared to that st.croix(premier?) ?
  13. Sweet!! I'm a diehard Shimano fan but I would love to add a type r or j-dream to my line up(if I could afford it)
  14. Whether it's new or not it still beats the junk lews and Abu put out. ?
  15. I've owned both and recently tried a "blended" rod. It's an irod gen2 rip rap special. it's graphite with a glass tip it's not quite as sensitive as a full graphite rod but imo it's worth it. I love being able to sling 1/4oz bandit 200s a long way. I think that you get the best of both worlds with a blended rod so that's what I would go with.
  16. Yes I interchanged curado e and citica spools last week so I know they will fit. I also tried throwing a 1/8oz head with a 2" swimbait on an ul panfish rod(rated 1/32 to 1/4) and backlashed terribly so I would go with a lighter spool. Anybody know of another spool besides hedgehog that would fit?
  17. Haha. Yeah I started this thread before I found out. What rod would you recommend? Phenix maxim ML?
  18. There is a new i model coming in February! Instead of a 50 model they're calling it a 70 size. Here's a picture. If it doesn't come up pm me and I can tell you the website.
  19. Looking to go to 1/8oz. lead plus plastic's weight
  20. Hey guys I'm looking to start dabbling in the BFS world, and got a quick question. I'm not looking to get super serious into it right off the bat so I'd like to go cheap(er). I have a citica 200e and I thought about buying a spool from hedgehog studios. The spool for it weighs 9 point something grams, the same weight as a stock 50e. So would the spool be light enough or do I need to wait and get a 50 with a hedgehog spool? The 50 weighs 5 something grams. Also I plan on putting ceramic bearings in the 200e if I go that route. Thanks
  21. Here's my combos that see the most use
  22. My apologies. To each their own
