Line Stretch Test - 18 Types/brands
What I think this chart helps me with is it gives me a better idea of which fluorocarbon lines stretch the most. So in an application that you prefer mono for it's stretch you can get a line with high amount of stretch but also that sensitivity that fluoro is highly regarded for. Best of both worlds

Wiggle Warts Question
I think the new new ones you are referring to are just new colours for the wart. That is what I have found when searching for new 2015 warts, just new colours but I could be mistaken

Question About Reel Gears
I have hear that it is a good speed for deep cranking but the places I will be fishing are shallow and I will mostly be using squarebills. I was just wondering if I find it too slow if I would be able to make an inexpensive swap of gears so I can use it for techniques that require a faster reel. That way once I get more setups over the years I can change this reel back to the 5.1:1 and make it a dedicated deep cranking rod. I've heard that main gears and pinions can be about $20 for the most part so I'd rather not buy a whole new reel. Also it might be a little more difficult to sell as I am located in Canada

Question About Reel Gears
I picked up a 5.1:1 BB1 on this forum and it has 21" per turn, but i figured it might be too slow for some of the crankbaits I'm planning on using. My question is would I be able to order a gear from Lew's and change it to a 7:1 or would that be too difficult or no possible at all? Edit: I apologize for the post before using the search. I have found that DVT answered a similar question and said to phone Lew's and make sure you get the Main Gear and the Pinion, as well as specifing it is a LH Reel.

New Megabass S-Crank
I think you misinterpreted. The 1.2 and 1.5 are related to their length, the 1.5 being 2.5 inches in length and the 1.2 being 2-1/3" in length. They are both 1/2 oz in weight. You can buy them at tackle warehouse but they are expensive at $20 a pop. Be sure to post back with a little review!

Wiggle Warts Question
I was looking into getting some of the Wiggle Warts from BPS as they are on sale for $3.97. I have heard the older ones are better but I was wondering at what year did rapala take over the wiggle warts? Also what are peoples opinions on the "new" wiggle warts? Are they worth it? Thanks in Advance!

Need Help Finding Cheap Oneida Bow
Hey all, I have been thinking of getting a bow and have been researching them a bit. Primarily I would use it for Bowfishing or turkey hunting and I would like to get an older Oneida Eagle bow. I have seen them for anywhere from $100- $250. Since I am in Canada they are quite hard to find up here and are much more common in the US. I am looking for a left hand draw and was hoping someone could help me locate a cheap used one. If shipping is a problem I could always get it shipped to a pick up spot just over the border and drive it over myself.(Although importing bows isn't a problem in Canada from what I've read)

My Lake Need Help
I'm unsure of the boat I will have but it will most likely have a decent sized engine. This body of water is not huge and is probably only about 3-4 miles in length. In the river system it is so shallow in the channel and there are submerged logs so regardless of your boat's speed you will be going relatively slow so you don't hit anything in the water. That is up until it opens up to the lake portion where it gets up to 60-70 feet deep at points. There is more largemouth than smallmouth in this lake( I don't even know if there is smallmouth) and a large amount of pike. I have heard from locals that pike can be caught in the eastern part of the river system if that's what species you are targeting and I have caught pike in the middle portion of the river so they are there in good numbers. I have used soft plastic grubs with a pumpkin body and a chartreuse tail and only caught pike so I think chartreuse would be a good colour. Unfortunately the body of water is too small and when I zoom in the lake disappears on the website because they don't have a topo for it.

My Lake Need Help
So I am scouting out good spots to fish on the lake I will be going to this summer. I won't have a ton of time there so I would like to figure out a good strategy before getting to the lake( Also I may be entering a fishing Derby on it in early June) . The lake/river is a Tanic kind of tea colour and has lots of shallow patches of vegetation usually about 3-8 feet. It is decently thick but not matted or anything like that. I figure a MH fast action rod for pitching will do the job. But what I need help with is good spots to start at, lure color/ choice and technique selection would be much appreciated. Any insight into how to fish this body of water will be helpful.

Bass Fishing And Surface Water Temp Question
I may be willing to drop some money on one and test it out. I know people use them for cooking to check water temp so I don't see why it wouldn't work in a lake setting

Need Help Finding Bb1 Schematic
I was using a revo schematic that I had handy but it didn't help me with the part order after the drag washers. Thank you very much for this! It appears I am missing part 50 the bush. Now I'll have to find it or figure out where to get another. I have emailed the company to ask.

What's My Rod Good For?
Line ratiing is 6-15lb. I was thinking of putting #10 Mono or #12 Fluro just because I have an extra spool of it already. Rod doesn't have a lure size rating but I assume it's 1/4 to about 5/8. I didn't notice it was graphite until you mentioned it! Didn't even notice it said it on the rod haha

What's My Rod Good For?
Up to this point I've used spinner baits, spoons for trout, jigs for pike and that's probably about it. That was when I was mostly just fishing to catch anything, not bass specifically.

What's My Rod Good For?
It's a shakespeare Ugly Stik Lite. Not very high quality so I doubt many people have a ton of experience with them

What's My Rod Good For?
I bought a spinning rod before I really knew anything about fishing. It is a Shakespeare Ugly Stik Lite, 2 piece 6' 6" Medium action, I think Medium power. I don't plan on buying any new spinning rods anytime soon(I'm getting into baitcasters) so I was wondering what the best applications are for this rod. Also # and type of line for application would be appreciated too.

Megabass Pop X
Here's a link for all you lazy people! I watched the video lastnight and I think I'm going to pick one up in the summer. Definitely seems worth it too me. I love the action compared to a Pop-R. Also no need to watch all 30mins but he goes really indepth into it and shows all aspects of the lure.

Bass Fishing And Surface Water Temp Question
So I have been reading articles about bass and their tendencies in certain water temperatures. I have read that a surface water monitor for your boat is something good to have however I don't do a lot of boat fishing. I do when at the cottage but not enough to invest in a Surface temp monitor. I mostly do bank fishing and fishing out of a canoe and was wondering if a Infared thermometer would be useful for reading water surface temp. This way I can use it on the bank, in the canoe or when I'm on a boat. Here is what I was thinking of getting. http://www.amazon.ca/Huayuan%C2%AE-Digital-Infrared-Non-Contact-Thermometer/dp/B00QTH1PFW/ref=sr_1_4?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1423074871&sr=1-4&keywords=infrared+thermometerWhat are peoples thoughts on this?
