Yes, I've used the Tate Pencil and I really like it. Full disclosure: I haven't caught anything on a spook-style bait. BUT compared to my Heddon Spook I like the Tate better. It's easier to walk, and I really like the holographic sides.

It's not even a collecter's item, but I came across a Mirrolure lipless crankbait imbedded in the mud at my pond the other day. Cleaned it up, found out it's from the 1980s. Pretty cool lure to me.

I've had people here send me very generous amounts of tackle for no charge. Just another reason why BR rocks.

I found it unnatural to pitch with my right when I started using my baitcaster a couple of months ago, so I switched to left and do that naturally now.

All of my winter fish have been caught in less than 4 foot of water. I've spent a lot of time fishing deep, but I have found them shallow. That's not saying too too much because I've only caught 5-6 fish this winter, but still, they've all been shallow.

I too would prefer a gift card.

I have not tried the Puppies yet. They have them in my Walmart bargain bin for 1.50, so I'll have to pick one up. Thanks for the advice.

I bring a MH Baitcaster and a M Spinnning. If I had the money to spend I'd add a M Baitcaster to the mix.

^^ Caught that one on a t-rigged senko. Went out today and caught one on a jig. 80% of my wintertime fish have come on jigs.

Well, if I were in your place, I would start working points. This time of year, that is a good idea. That's what I'm going to be doing at Falls Lake from the bank in a couple of weeks. Get a Rat'LTrap or a deeper diving crankbait and work them. In the spring and summer, beat the banks.
