  1. I remember one time in following an elite tournament (or just hearing someone talk about it) where the elite guys were at a Florida fishery, getting their frog/flipping/punching bite on. Aaron Martens was catching them on finesse worms and he told people he had to make the switch from 8 to 6 pound line to get bit. Who are we to argue with AMart?
  2. yes they are a HUGE improvement. Window shopping is now easier .
  3. Great job-that is a real sow.
  4. Awwww, that' sooo cute!!! To each his (her) own.
  5. Me too. My brother uses them all the time but I don't mainly because they're typically expensive and I lost my only one. Lazy, I know, but I'm more of a soft plastic person. I would like to try them sometime though.
  6. Jigs, tubes, flukes, lizards, and frogs. I want to fish craws more as well.
  7. I'm stocking up on lizards, craws, flukes, and minnow hard baits for the beds. Lipless crankbaits and spinnerbaits for around them.
  8. Rat'LTraps and noisy square bills (like the Storm Arashi Square), spinnerbaits with a colorado blade, and darker soft plastics like blue/black/red.
  9. That's awesome. Palaniuk is one of my favorite guys in the elites. I'd love to meet him someday.
  10. ^^ Sam you are too funny.
  11. Top: Weightless Senko Medium: KVD 1.5 Bottom: 4-inch finesse worm with a split shot.
  12. 50-60 hooks. 20-30 sinkers. Four ziploc bags with 6-7 bait bags in them: one for worms, one for craws/creature baits, one for finesse baits like grubs and tube, and one for flukes/swimbaits.
  13. Yup, there was an age requirement on the last one so I just signed my Mom up: after hearing her solemnly swear she wouldn't take the rod if she won.
  14. Glad to hear it! I've gotten a lot of cheap stuff off of friends. WTG
  15. Dang glad you didn't have an actual heart attack. I thought maybe that was what the post was about . I have only seen a fish do that to my topwater twice, haven't had one blow up on it yet but it'll happen sometime. SO much fun.
  16. I was just given one. That little bar make the bait auto-tuning. You'll never have to tune it, it should always track straight. Pretty cool idea. As for the color, to me it wouldn't make so much of a difference. Compared to my KVD 1.5's and Lucky Strike RC2s, that thing has the loudest rattle. The fish will find it anyway.
  17. Yeah we ran into that too. If you have three guys with a metal shovel it helps. I'm an entrepreneur to the core. Rake leaves, shovel snow, clean weedbeds, mow lawns, wash cars, walk dogs, you name, I've done it. Never struggled for money. I'm just required to put away most of it. My mom doesn't understand my fishing "needs." She thinks all fishing baits go in the same category. "you just bought some baits! Why are you buying more?"
  18. Can you snow shovel?? I made 250 bucks in two little snowfalls here in NC this last week or two. That's my primary source of getting a lot of money fast. Yard work pays off but nothing like a snowstorm.
  19. Yup, wacky or T-rigged, for numbers it's hard to beat a senko.
  20. The weather here is killing me. The frogs are croaking, the sun is shining, the fish are waking up, the trees are starting to bud, but the weather is still in the 40s. Like everything knows it's spring but the actual air. e
  21. I don't eat bass. I don't really eat fish either.
  22. I fish soft plastics and jigs 70% of the time. If I'm not throwing those I'll usually be throwing topwater (10%) or, rarely, crankbaits/spinnerbaits. I fish pressured ponds and the fish just shun rattling baits and seem to like soft plastics a lot bet.
  23. Stickworms! Any size, any shape. Cut'R worms, Yum Dingers, Strike King Shimmy sticks, higher end ones like the actual senko. They work, any rig, any waters.
  24. For some reason I haven't pegged one on a Spook yet. They've crushed my poppers, but the bass in my ponds don't seem too like spooks. I plan on fishing one this next year until I do catch a bass, because it really frustrates me.
