Even though I'm from Cali in those types of conditions a football jig would be my first choice.

I don't think mono would help but you could deffenetly increase your distance w/ a longer rod.

Well today I cuaght my first spinner bait fish it wasn't a giant but a fun fight! Hopefully more to come.

Catfish are the worst for me than probably surf perch.

I fish them t/rigged or wacky rigged and have caught a lot fish doing this!...

Mine has to be catching my pb, (6lbs.) It was a cold foggy morning and my friend and I were fishing and he snagged up with his crankbait on a stump and I threw my 2.5 squarebill to the same stump and as soon as it nocked of the stump the bass hit it and it was an awesome fight.
