Spring washers are on right. Drag stack is on correctly, I checked the schematic and took it apart to make sure it looked the same. I did, however, soak each part in Ardent Reel Kleen before re-greasing and re-lubing. Afterward I dried them with a paper towel. Is it possible that the Reel Kleen liquid is still in the drag? And in that case, what part is the drag exactly and what could I do to fix this if it is infact the problem?

When I got the reel I actually had the schematic emailed to me from them if I would need it. I'll check it out. My spring washers are on correctly.

No. I put lubricant on the bearings and grease on the worm gear and main gear.

I recently cleaned, re-oiled and re-greased, and reassembled my Lew's Laser RZ reel and now the drag is really slipping. On absolute max drag, it doesn't take a lot of force to turn the handle any more. The drag is definitely weaker than before. Can anyone identify what the problem is and how to fix it?

I love my Lew's Team Lite. Thinking about buying a few more eventually. That would be my pick.

I believe they called it "LPT" not LFP and it stood for live prey technology. Not that it matters at all...tightlines.

If you're using backing, make sure to balance your spool for maximum and smooth casts. TackleJunky81 made a video on YouTube for it, just search for "spool balance" on his channel.

My favorite jig company offers to put rattles on their football jigs for an extra 25 cents. Is it worth it? I've never tried rattles on football jigs and was wondering if it makes a difference and why or why not you use them.

Nobody has ever told me that Ardent was their favorite reel brand, and that's for a reason.

I disagree with the statement that Abu and Lew's are the same. Even if they were from the exact same factory, it's not like they're made in the same assembly line.

A big part of frog fishing is timing your hooksets and waiting to feel the weight of the fish. The XF action will help u work it.

The XF is perfect for working a frog!

The blank is sensitive, but a little bit brittle. Probably not the best for spinnerbaits.

Haven't used the casting Rod yet. I do have a spinning rod, and it is pretty nice.

Lew's makes amazing products. What about them doesn't look too promising?
