I do like the powers and actions of these two rods, but I was basically just asking which rod was better constructed.

So sounds like the guides on the Gander Elite may be a bit better? And as for the power, I really do like medium light for dropshots. Dropshot rods typically have an extra fast tip so you get more backbone than other medium light rods.

It's the name of a scent product haha. Ever since I've used Liquid Mayhem I don't need anything else.

So I really need a new dropshot rod, and I've narrowed it down to two different rods. Either the Gander Mtn Elite Series 6'9" ML, or the *** *** Black Gen 2 6'10" ML. I'm not sure which rod would be better. I have a Lexa 7'2" ML/ F spinning rod and it's an awesome rod. Found it on sale for $50 and it's one of the best deals I've gotten.

A lot of guys are recommending the kits and to do it yourself, but I'm going to have to say warranty. I'd assume since the rod has micro guides, the tip guide may be smaller than usual, so a Fuji tip replacement kit may look odd. Doing it yourself may work, but personally I'd be more comfortable having the professionals do it for me.

I don't think any bait is a "numbers bait that doesn't catch big fish." I believe more finesse baits (smaller, less action, moved slower) just catch more fish in general. If there's a fish in a certain spot and you slowly drag a shaky head right past his face, he's going to eat it. Since they do catch more fish, they also catch more small fish because there's more small fish than giants in a lake.

Pure Fishing definitely does not offer the best blanks available. Not sure where you're getting your information from.

I think you'll love the Arachnid. It's a Tatula Type-R on steroids. For $110 you can't beat that.
