New Powell Rods
Powell has been making a lot of changes to their lineup of rods lately. The Inferno now retails at $100-$110 and the Max 3D now retails at $160. They also are clearing out the TiMax rods, which are getting really hard to find. All of this leads me to believe they're coming out with a new series in the near future, somewhere around $200 or above. It would most likely be coming out around the Classic or even possibly ICAST, if my predictions are correct. If anyone else would like to add something I'd appreciate it, but this is just a heads up for my fellow Powell fans. Reece

Bass And Flw On A Jersey
Unless you fish both, I don't see the point in putting them on your jersey. Wait until you have sponsors that want you to represent them to get a jersey IMO.

Line Color For Line Watchers?
White braid is good but on a really sunny day the bright glare on the water can make it hard to see.

Free Cabelas Code For $20
It's not that people expect it, but these days a lot of the big fishing stores are doing it. It's a trend right now, that's why it's different that big box stores aren't doing it. Plus it doesn't cost them close to what they charge to ship.

Will There Be A Gen 4 Revo?
Of course there will be a gen 4. I don't see Abu just quitting on their most popular series. Abu really focused on their big bait and spinning reels the past two years so I'd say in the next two years we'll see some new Revos.

Problem With Shimano
Maybe you need a new reel repair guy. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Chatterbait Rod
This year I'm using a Powell 723 XF. There's actually more similarity between XF and M actions than you'd think. Both have forgiving tips, which gives the fish a little more time on the hook set, but the XF has more backbone typically.

Upgrade A Ch50E Vs Buying A Bfs Reel
Basically if the Avail spool is good compared to Yumeya, KTF, and ZPI. Also have you used the hedgehog air bfs bearings? Plus, how light could you get a Scorp 1000xt (estimate)?

Upgrade A Ch50E Vs Buying A Bfs Reel
I'd assume putting the lighter (smoke colored) brake pads in are more for lightening up the spool mostly? Thus if I put the lighter brakes in, I should use more of them? I have a project for next winter. Scorp 1000xt w/ Avail honeycomb spool, livre handle, hedgehog air bfs bearings so I've got a couple questions as well as the OP.

Could've sworn the last time I checked, I saw 9.8oz...must've been something else. Yeah I guess it's around 8 oz.

The Lexa is like 10oz (very heavy) if that matters to you...

New Generation Of Tatula Rods?
I don't think something is replacing them. It could be that a new generation is coming out, but that seems doubtful since nothing is changing with the Tatula reels. I'd be happy to see a new gen though.

Bfs Experts
Finding either of those reels for less than $200 would be pretty tough. Another option is buying a Scorpion Xt 1000 and dropping in Hedgehog Air BFS bearings and an Avail Honeycomb or KTF spool. Edit: As Jrob suggested, the Aldebaran bfs xg limited is around $300 and will require no work to cast 1/8oz lures.
