  1. Not sure why guys drop so much on E series Curados still. There's plenty of other options now. Curado/ Scorpion I, Citica I, and if you're set on an E series then you can get a Scorpion 1500xt NIB for $190 shipped.
  2. I like mine because it really allows you to learn and talk to your boater throughout the day. And when your partner catches one, you're just as happy as if it was yourself. It's been the perfect way for me to get started. Eventually I'd like to step up and do more TBF/ BFL events, but when you're just starting out, club and local open tournaments are the way to go.
  3. I'm 16 and I fish in a club where you draw a partner for each tournament and you compete as a team. It's definitely a great format, if not the best for club events IMO.
  4. I accidentally chipped the tip insert on one of my favorite rods. The guides are Fuji. Zirconium inserts I think. I was wondering how I could go about fixing this. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you.
  5. Dude, just buy it now or wait until the sale... Expecting them to give you the sale before the sale is kinda ridiculous.
  6. You guys are savages. All the good ones are gone already LOL.
  7. A heavy power rod is pretty overkill for most spinnerbaits.
  8. New Megabass reel, sun protective clothing
  9. This is a great tip.
  10. I would like to add, as others have said, a 3 power is probably better than a 4 power for spinnerbaits. But it depends on how heavy the spinnerbaits you use are. 3/8-1/2oz I'd go 3 power. 3/4-1oz I'd go 4 power.
  11. Nothing wrong with a Savvy for spinnerbaits. I use a No. 8 Blackout. Sensitivity isn't needed for moving baits so the rod doesn't really matter too much.
  12. I was wondering why nobody had recommended the Stradic Ci4+, but then I realized you said $100. I agree with the others--Symetre all the way.
  13. What Megabass reel did you get?
  14. I'd get the 35 size. Pflueger spinning reels tend to run a bit small.
  15. It's the new generation Fuego. Not sure how it stacks up against the older, more expensive Fuego's but it's a good reel no doubt.
  16. Will do! I got a new Fuego and I love it so I figured I'll start getting some high end Daiwa stuff too. Glad I tried their products.
  17. It seems like a great platform to me. Plus the Megabass logos add some incentive for me.
  18. Not positive yet. Either an *** Black 2, Daiwa DX-Bass, or Zillion.
  19. Okay..."From what I've heard"...Cashion rods have nice blanks, but the craftsmanship isn't too impressive. As for Denali, I've heard the same as others have posted. They're pretty good rods, but don't balance as well as say a St. Croix or G. Loomis. Also, Choporoz, when someone asks for an opinion, I will give an opinion, not an "uncontroverted fact." If the OP wants to know which rod to use, and I wouldn't recommend either, I'm not going to recommend either.
  20. Not necessarily, if somebody with experience tells me something, I have secondhand experience with the product. Therefore I'm able to express my opinion based on what I've heard. It's the same as someone telling you the problems they've had with a certain product, and you blacklisting it because of what they've told you. It happens all the time. So, if I've had people tell me that Denali/ Cashion is a bad rod, I will post my opinion on their behalf.
