Must have accessories
I will list my top three RUBBER basket net- got no time to waste trying to unsnag my lure or messing with any of it. Texas tackle split ring pliers. They are amazing and swapping out a bent up or beat up hook on a bait or adding rings to jerks to get them to suspend right became a lot less time consuming. Basic first aid kit. Take a hook and need to stop the bleeding or have a crashing headache. These can ruin a day. Bandaids, motrin, and some benedryl for poisoned bites. Snakes spiders bees whatever. And it's good for your dog to if they get bit.

Casting Technique Questions
I only bomb cranks and I am not a huge crank guy. By the time you have the others down you will just do it and not even think about it.

Casting Technique Questions
I learned on a side arm cast. It a good place to start because of the low consequences listed above. The roll cast then naturallycomes next. If you are in the back of the boat then a backhand is critical to develop next. The pitch is my second used cast but has a lot of risk to learn. It is fun, can be practiced in the yard. I pitch crank baits into pockets, and all other types of lures. It is a short to mid range technique that for me is the most accurate. The breaking and spool tension is turned way down so your thumb is the boss....

Owner ST-36, 35, & 41
The st-41 is my top water hook of choice. They just seem to get a death grip on the fish. Going to test the larger versions on some glides, more info to come.

Copoly Line for Jig & Texas Rig
I have never used 15 so I cannot honestly comment beyond my previous statements. I do hear people like it, and a review might be helpful.

Copoly Line for Jig & Texas Rig
I went from flouoclear to yhb. The flouoclear in 8 lb was a great trout line, very thin and clear and worked well. When I went from little treble hooks to larger single hooks for bass fishing I found the stretch factor in floroclear. On a positive note it handles well so on a kids rod that's a big bonus. 6lb yhb feels thicker and does not handle near as well as 8lb flouroclear. Yhb was also more abrasion resistant. For first timers I would recommend Berkeley xl in 6 or 8 as I feel it provides the best all around.

Medium light casting rods
The stanDard fluke and trick worms along with some dropshot. The fluke is the hardest for me to cast and can test your skill/sanity.

To All My Memphis Pond Hoppers!
Take that pb however you can... my buddy were joking about using a cast net during the spawn snap a pic and let them go. He laughed I laughed the game warden gave us a cross look and we left for home. We had fun with it the rest of the trip home.

Silent or rattling square bill crankbaits?
I like specific ones. If visibility sucks then a chartreuse black back with rattle is money. The kvd bluegill I like silent. A shad or black white can go either way or both. If I want natural the clear or natural colors are silent.

Lightest Braid on BC
Depending on the size of the reel I have gone as low as 20. The 20 was on an alphas on a medium rod. On a standard size I don't like less than 40. Just my preference.

When to use Round Bend vs EWG with soft plastics?
Your swim baits belong on owner beast hooks. The ewg is better for heavy cover and round bend for more open water as it gives easier hookups. I just use ewg with no issues.

Warm rain fronts ? What to expect
Look very shallow on warming and rising waters. The dirty water makes them brave and as water rises they are looking for food.

Leader for reels?
Just having a giggle.
- What brands have the most aftermarket parts?
-
Spooling question
I do this with braid every time if it's available and don't use backing. If it's mono I just use an arbor knot.
-
Leader for reels?
So flouro coated flouo. Charge twice the price

Leader for reels?
Your style, the current conditions and type of fishing all impact this. All will work some are better than some depending on your equipment. How good are your knots.

Jig rod
EBay has some good sellers. The hookup tackle is a real store that moves their trade in rods on ebay. The tackle trap also sells dealer rep samples.

Getting kids involved
Mine used a spinning reel athe five and we spent a lot of time in the front yard. He had a practice pole for the house and uses my stuff on the water. I use smaller spinning reels. At his age a 1000 or 1500 would be best. Crappy kids gear is fustrating to them and has tons of issues which sucks for you. The first rod is disposable so get an ugly stick, they have one like 4/6 or 5 foot. This is there learning rod and will put up with a ton of abuse. After the basics upgrade them as you feel they are ready. My sons current rod is a st Croix avid x 68mxf. He has a week Hookset so I went xf. Great for 5" wacky worms which he does well on. He is now 9 but I only fought trying to find quality kids gar for a year and gave up. For kicks megabass makes kids gear.
