Memphis Fisherman!!
If you click the link it will take you to the thread. Hit up the small pond in shelby forest today. The were eating minnows right up on the shore. Tons of action might be a great place to check out this weekend. Regular flukes in shad did well today.

Make model and year along with condition drive the price. 6-9 hundred seems to be the range without further information.- Memphis Fisherman!!
Use the search for memphis pond hoppers and that thread will show you all the people and water holes in the area. You military?- New 1436 Jon. First real boat. Electric only?
Get a good 24v trawling motor and two deep cycle batteries and be done. This is a great reliable setup good for 100 acres or slightly above. You will be over powered with a large trawling motor but it will give you 5 to 6 knots and will be able to buck a decent wind. The better tm have better controls and electronic controls to save power.- Daiwa Rod broke. Warranty?
Boat flipping is not what rods are designed to handle. Custom rod builders fight this battle all the time. High sticking during landing and boat flipping is neglect and the big companies may choose to try and keep you by replacing the rod.- Hey Drop Shot experts!
It works great. I have 6lb sniper from fishing in Washington state but I don't see any difference here in tenessee.- Number lures for fall
Yes trailers help. Large twin tail grubs are a great starting place for trailers. The possibilities are endless. I like flukes on chatterbaits. Both are cheap.- Cleaning a spinning reel
I don't think sand wold get in the gear area so a surface tear down is easy. Take off the spool clean th he drag wash the empty spool in simple green and water or dish soap. Clean the bail bearing and oil. I wipe down the main shafts and coat with oil. Pull the handle oil the knob bearings, and q tip out any areas with dirt. Spinners are easy to care for but if you do go in the gear area mark them both so they can be lined back up.- Swim jig on spinning set up.
Guys catch huge fish on spinning gear not my first choice but I think the bass crowd in general think light lures on spinning. A few guys throw swimbaits on spinning. Not my cup of tea either but it is done. Will it work I think so but only you can determine if it's for you. I throw 1/4 heads on a spinning rod but it's only a 3 power.- Rain gear
Anotherr thought is to use a one piece which if its really going to dump all day i grab my motorcycle suite. Its a cheap option and works amazing. https://www.cyclegear.com/search?_utf8=✓&query=rain+suite&commit=Search- Leader: 100% Floro vs Fluoro Leader
Copolymer all day every day- Seeking the perfect squarbill rod
You seem to have a few st croix rods have you tried a 66mf avid for your application. I love mine for 1.5 and 1.0 strike king kvd's. Also pulls double duty as my jerkbait rod. Don't want 100 rods in the yak.- Hey Drop Shot experts!
I do this but use 6lb yhb and 4-6 inch roboworms in Aarons magic. I do exactly the same shifting hooks but I use gamy 1/0 or 2/0 ewg for weedless. I hear a lot about the rebarb hook but never used it- Fall is not fall
Are you changing with the conditions? My fall pattern has not turned on and being my first fall in a new state i am not sure i will catch on. I am going back to cranks traps and swim baits for the fall and seeing how it works out. The leaves are falling the fronts are pushing threw but i have two kids in school this year so i dont have near the same amount of time on the water. I have been waiting and waiting on the topwater action to take off and i sure hope it comes soooooon,,,,,,- Leader: 100% Floro vs Fluoro Leader
Its a different formula in most cases. Leader material is very hard and is not made to be castable. In the case of sunline shooter i believe it would be very close.- Gill Pattern , Crappie
I agree the bottom lure is sweet.- Leader line keeps breaking
If you must hAve flourocarbon the leader material is the strongest. I use a copoly as leader material because of the much better knot strength.- coply to braid issues
I use 20 lb yhb with no issues on my sb rods. Why deal with a connection.- Custom Rods by Ghoti
Hate to let the secret out of the bag but not only his he a great builder but a hell of a nice guy. Great to work through a project rod with and goes the distance to make sure your getting what you want. Just dont bomb him with orders because the rest of us still have a few projects in mind.- coply to braid issues
I feel as though you have hit the upper limit on what your guides will pass. Reducing the size of the non braid line to something below 15 lbs might help a lot. I use a lot of 10 12 and sometimes 15 lb yhb to braid up to 40 lbs and dont have issues. The 20 is large and depending on the knot its doubled and that takes up a lot of room. Are you braking off with lower pound test or just like the heavier line.- What is fishing rod sensitivity?
Speed of the rod seems to be a small factor with faster actions giving me more feeling.- Tube Fishing
What you throw it on will not matter as long as it has slack line to fall on. The biggest change is the angle of the hook eye and the weight if the jig head.- Rain gear
I use Colombia gear for the warm time of the year. I use some of there hiking pants and a regular rain coat. They are very light weight and work well- Daiwa Super Tuned
I bought the reel "htsl" as mine are lefties when they were on closeout and they take a beating and just keep rolling. They will bomb a frog to the next zip code and has all the drag I ever needed for slop fishing. I recommend this reel as a first baitcaster every time that post comes up. The cast control is easy to dial in and adjust on the fly. Hard to beat for the price imo. - New 1436 Jon. First real boat. Electric only?
