Got to smile. That kills them.

What line should I use for all around fishing?
Baitcasting 12-15 lb yhb. Spinning 8lb Berkeley xl.

Is This Prop Toast?
Props can be repaired. Worth the effort not to tear up the lower unit.

Want to start throwing 1/4oz crankbaits
They have both, I have the casting. They have a ml version of the rod but the medium casts so lite of a lure it would be a trout rod.

Daiwa Steez ltd problem
Sounds like your mag ring was not installed at zero. A pic of full and off setting should show it on the plastic stops. Had this happen once when swapping the side plate on ITO alphas. I took it back appart and the second try it was right.

Want to start throwing 1/4oz crankbaits
I use a steez flexlite 7' medium and toss lighter baits like a 5 shadrap and the kvd 1.0 squarebill all day on 10 lb yhb. Never had a fish break me off yet. I use an alphas sv and it's not painful in the least. Another rod to check out might be the Phoenix x-10.

The great swim jig
If I could teach someone to fish from the very beginning this is the lure I would start with. So versatile and weedless

Is 50lb braid overkill?
I like 50 and 65. It's good for frogs punching and pitching. Gets the job done...

Brand New Shimano Reel Won't Cast Properly
I would just do the simple checks breaks spool tension and proper lube and if it still gives you any issues just do the return. Don't wait longer than 30 days some stores will not help after that. Check the stores return policy just to be safe

Would you submit an All Tackle Length Record?
It's a buisness and they make money

Duplicate Rods
I carry upto three of the same rod as it fits how I fish the most. 7 foot mhf is my go to in most cases.

Help - Alphas SV cutting line
This is the case imo.

Need to re-spool all my reels
Braid on your spinning setups is the best bang for the buck. I hate line twist.

Need to re-spool all my reels
How many rods and reels do you have to re-spool? I would grab a good co-poly for the bulk of the work and then a good flouro for your jig rod. I like 15lb p-line 100% for pitching and lite punch setups. The good news is its 250 yards so it will fill to complete spools unlike most of the others.

lizard question
After tube my second choice would be a swing head with a brush hawg.

lizard question
How about a tube. Get deeper faster.

how can I improve hookup ratio with topwater popper
I fish a lot of poppers as they seem to work better than the moving baits in the areas I am fishing. I use the st-41 hook by owner and I never set the hook. I feel the weight and just reel as fast as I can until the fish starts to fight. The hooks are supper sharp and this seems to work well for me. If I feel the weight I have them every time. If they slap it then its anyone's guess.

Shipping your rods - WARNING!!!!!!!!
The last two rods I got last month were delivered next door by fedex

Shipping your rods - WARNING!!!!!!!!
Have fun trying to ship a gun to yourself even with the atf instructions in your hand.

Shipping your rods - WARNING!!!!!!!!
All shippers suck and all you can do is use heavy skedule pvc and pvc caps. Tape them on using re-enforced tape. I have never seen or had any issues this way. I also use bubble wrap to prevent rod slap

Trolling for Trout Questions
Two great tactics 1 dropshot some 3 and 4 inch keitech shad impacts. I do well on ayu. The second bait that works amazing is the duo small shads. The clear and shiny gills are the two best.

Top water line
I use Berkeley XL because why use a leader and copoly sinks. I have 80% of my bait casters with copoly and the other has braid. My one dedicated topwater rod runs mono because its the best tool for the job.

Microguides?
Yet another spin is macro guides. I stick with the 4.5-5 guides because they provide all the smaller lighter guide benefits with reducing the pains of stringing and freezing up being less. I had a rod built with this sized guide train and its the second that i now have. Megabass rods use this same sized guides and some of the steez rods do as well. Depending on your area macro's might be great and a lot of rods are moving this direction. My dobyns dx rods have smaller guides than some of my others so it seems like a trend in the higher end lineups.
