  1. so when it gets really hot in the dead of summer and I'm a bank fisherman i go to a small creek not far from me that i wade, and ill usually catch anywhere from 20-80 fish depending on how long i fish and anywhere from 5 to 14 inches, but I've seen some up to 3 pounds in there that i just can't catch. my setup is a 6 foot medium spinning rod with a pflueger president with 6lb fluro, so I've used everything from grubs to stick baits to topwater lures and i can't get any of the bigger ones to bite at all and the creek has no pressure, so what lures do you think i should try? thanks for the advice and tight lines!
  2. hows the fishing on lake nockaminxon?and can't you rent a boat there too? but if you get a chance (even though you have to buy a membership) give penn warner a try, theres some really great fishing there maybe about 30 minutes from you
  3. at least you get to be out on the water! lol
  4. pickerel is one of the best fish to catch besides bass lol i go out just for pickerel but ill usually use some type of swimbait ( havoc grass pig 5in) because its cheap and usually like a white or chart and i use a 4 or 5/0 owner twist lock hook with a wire leader and ill work it right on the surface or a foot below, always works great for me goodluck
  5. i used to big into catfishing, but I've always used a spinning setup when fishing for them usually a penn fierce 4000 and a cabbalas whuppin stick usually 8ft heavy and I'm a light line person so ill usually use 12-14lb test
  6. not form there so i couldn't tell you where to go, but we have them up here in philly and i mainly catch all mine on frogs and jerk baits but goodlluck
  7. who do you think is gonna win bucket D for the bass master fantasy? i think its gonna be the hardest bucket even though like 30% have cliff pace
  8. i actually have been eyeing them up for a while and today i placed a pretty big order from straight from yumbaits.com mainly because i needed to fill up on beavers and they have the yum wooly bug for $2.99 for an 8 pack 4 1/4 inches can't beat that

  13. if your fishing from a boat pettys island is where I've caught almost all my stripers between me, my brother, and my dad we've caught them anywhere from 10 to my dads 45lber we were using clams which we almost always catch them on but good luck hope you catch some
  14. i still have to go up and renew my membership can't wait for this fishing season only a month and 10 days until trout opener
  15. i prefer not to use braid most of the time because depending on how your going to fish it when i punch pads i don't like the squeaky sound it makes so i use straight fluro anywhere from 12-17lb test (just my opinion)
  16. 5.0 to 5.8 i use for crankbaits 6.4 to 6.8 i use for chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, swimjigs, jerk baits and most texas rigs 7.0 to 8.0 i use for frogs, punching, and jigs
  17. for around wood i use a 6'6 medium falcon BuCoo spinning rod with an abu garcia orra s with 30lb power pro
  18. with the classic on lake Hartwell coming soon what do you think the winning weight will be? and who do you think will win?
  19. braid - heavy cover frog fishing mono - nothing fluro - everything else
  20. well if i ever order rods i order them from tackle warehouse for $10 shipping other than that i don't really order rods because i prefer holding a rod in my hand before purchasing it
  21. i bought a couple 3/4 and 1 oz ones last year for dipping lily pads and they were great the only problem i had was the rattle was at the back so it constantly caught grass but other than that there great jigs for the price
  22. for my spinning setup i have a falcon buCoo spinning rod 6'6 medium with an abu garcia ora s for mainly weightless flukes and its an amazing rod
  23. depending on the size swim baits i got the daiwa s casting rod 7'4 heavy 1/2 to 2 oz for smaller swimbaits, great rod for the money
